  1. He (Sestan) has been playing back in the practice games & doing well. Will be an interesting watch...
  2. If you've ever played the game you will know the answer to that one. Having a game under your belt is a big advantage, they were still running on top of the ground at the end. Even Ed looked gassed for us..
  3. We were out of gas 'Dazz'. ...not having a game last week was always going to play out for us this way when we weren't far enough in front.
  4. 2022 & 2023, did it make that much difference? Maybe kicking, a bad decision or so and injury hurt us more... 2024 was just a train wreck, it wouldn't matter what game style we played.
  5. I don't know about scores but they were certainly expected to win.
  6. The interpretation has changed...the rule is still the rule and should be enforced.
  7. Depends... GWS are defensively sound and didn't let them play their game. They took it away from them. How many other teams can do this? That will decide the season of the pies this year to my mind.
  8. That's the point 'Dee'...it's only a matter of time before something really bad happens with this interpretation.
  9. There is a reason this has been a rule in the game for as long as I can remember. The last few years however we have seen players being able to place hands in the back in marking contests to so called hold position or keep balance. Briggs copped one today, resulting in serious injury...this is becoming more common. It's time the rule was enforced as per the original rules of the game not the current stupid & dangerous interpretation.
  10. Not fair 'Demonland', just checking in before I nod off.
  11. Love the song...
  12. Not sure if that's good or bad... Haven't the Cat's been notoriously bad after the bye in recent times???
  13. It's sad to see him move on, seems a good guy. ...but, in the end you can't keep everyone. Good luck Ben, thanks for your time with us.
  14. Trent Croad...
  15. This really says a lot about Clarrie... So happy he is still with us,
  16. He also said we would do what was in the best interest of the club. ...and I think that is the point. Not the 3 picks.
  17. I think the other thing he was putting forward is that if he's homesick, there are 2 clubs in Perth.
  18. I think we might be hearing more on this tomorrow... ...but there does need to be 2 clear weeks between the last practice match & your first game. Personally I think it's time for practice games to be put to bed.
  19. They will know your viewing preferences and that you watch footy so unlikely to offer a deal over the season.
  20. I don't know if you're old enough to have experienced the zone system that was around in the VFL days. It's part of the reason our club was in the wilderness for so long. Development should be handled by the AFL rather than the clubs. It is their responsibility to grow the game. If the AFL did their job then players brought through their pathways (not the cubs) would be available to all clubs in the draft. The current system is heading the way of the zones and is open to be rorted. Stories are legendary as to what went down in the "good" old days and it wasn't just brown paper bags...
  21. Get rid of the academies....nothing good has come of this hare brained idea.
  22. I'm leaning towards Bont as well. Curnow would be a good get for our list but even then imagine Bont with Trac...
  23. So...lets not debate the list too much. ...but how about a question. Who would you take if you had the choice of any player in the AFL now? Would Cripps be your number one pick? He wouldn't be mine but I need some think time as to who would be.
  24. Interesting to watch him...and will be over his career. Doesn't appear overly quick, gets to the right positions though & uses it well. Looked like a goal kicking Caleb Daniel to me.
  25. I think it was Bolton before he got pushed by Carlton...
