  1. Reece Stanley, the Cats version of Sam Frost...horrible decision maker.
  2. The AFL want a Richmond/Collingwood GF... As much as they love GWS, they love money more. I don't think there was bias as such but the look and the subconscious thoughts of C/wood tribunal members mean it shouldn't have happened. They've opened themselves up yet again to the conspiracy theories.
  3. Once he understood that Roos was right and he was a defender, Howe has been good. Buckley tried him forward, even promised him games as a forward to get him across the line. ...but he realised why Roos played Howe back and broke the news to him. You're a backman Jeremy. To his credit he then worked hard at his game and position. Was never going to happen at Melbourne, it took his childhood hero to put him straight in the end.
  4. They can rotate it between Richmond and Collingwood for all I care...it's about time those clubs did some real rather than token travel.
  5. Sent a text to SEN this morning asking whether they thought Blicavs would tag Martin, has him covered for run and not a problem when he goes forward...Lyon thought not, I think so... It's the right move to my mind and something that Scott would try. Let's watch what happens.
  6. I will be surprised if Worsfold lasts the season, he might not even make it to the starting gate. Just waiting for the press conference & excuse....something like family reasons is my guess.
  7. Considered a turn over merchant I thought... ...but a better turn over merchant than what we have.
  8. Not saying that at all 'hardtack', I'm sure our recruiting strategy is based on his AFL performances over his career and then what they think he can do going forward. Those just looking at Saturday night really have no idea.
  9. Not all of them....
  10. Sumich must have missed the memo 'Pennant'...
  11. Not sure you've worded this too well 'Unleash', but if we're not recruiting based on observed performances than we are truly screwed...
  12. Nowhere else to put this but watched a bit of the VFL game today, Williamstown v EFC. Nick Meese was amazing, absolutely controlled the game from the ruck. It was a master class in ruck craft. He's put together a great VFL cv...I guess height & shape have gone against him with AFL scouts. Would make a great ruck coach, works the angles well, has ruck craft in spades.
  13. Good see you posting on here 'Purple'...
  14. It wasn't the argument 'bin'... ...but anyway I'm over it. Tomlinson will be handy, hope we are not over paying, at least no draft picks are going out the door. A bit vanilla but a bit of an upgrade I guess. Also hope we have more in the pipeline, we definitely need a small forward and Langdon is the type we need on a wing.
  15. My opinion on Tomlinson doesn't come from one performance... It comes from junior through to senior football. He's never been a big possession winner or had a big influence on games, it's not the type of player he is. We've got him now but don't expect him to make a big difference, will be better than what we have but not sure why we chased him. I hope we have other irons in the fire...
  16. Have a look at their injury list during the season, with us they had one of the highest levels of games missed, and to key players. It's a testament to them that they are through to the Prelim & are now getting their team back on the ground. They could even win it. It shows up our excuses...and lack of depth.
  17. Played 20 games in a team riddled with injury. I would think it says nothing either way...
  18. Glad you're seeing it like me. Seriously, must have photos of someone in a compromising position to keep getting a game.
  19. He's a huge upgrade on Kent...
  20. If Hawthorn thought that way about Burgoyne where would they be?
  21. He had a great final last week. Not just goal kicking but that smother was sensational. With him Fritsch & Petracca, it would give us some real potency & x factor up forward.
  22. Not really, a couple of years ago it was their biggest problem. They have turned it around quickly (not in light years, in the space of a year), so can we...
  23. You are probably right re the AGM 'Red & Blue'...I hope they don't sidetrack the hard questions. I'm not sure about being brave and brilliant though, the club should always be open to the members. It's the least they can do after a season like this. No members, no club.
  24. Gary & Glen, do you think Hawthorn's focus is to challenge for a Premiership? We challenged this year like all clubs, just came up well short. Sounds like a let out for Bartlett and Pert. I sure hope they are going to discuss the training facility as it is very important to on field performance....
  25. Corey is a goer and handy depth. Won't be much more than that as he lacks the quick reaction time that the really good players have. Just that hair off...
