If you could clone one former Demon player...

Cale Morton. Got no one to yell at without him. -
Agreed. Tried to book with Hertz when I went up to Port douglas. Nothing available in the cairns airport. I tried booking a month in advance. Nothing. Website didnt even recognise the code. Twas an epic fail.

We really should have 6 wins straight up. GC, GWS and WB twice is such a gift.

The Club website is adopting a 'Head-in-the-sand' attitude

Which delisted player would you pick up before ND/PSD

Can we add an options of "none" as well? -
We're lacking heart, desire and grunt AS A TEAM. We're don't die for each other on the field...YET. I do believe we're on our way to achieving this though.

Just heard a good joke from a WC supporter: "Westcoast to make cuts to their list in the coming days. Cale Morton waiting anxiously to see whether he makes the cut" Lol

The following forum user will not be offered a playing contract in 2013: Dees Dayz. Everyone at Demonland wishes him all the best for their future endeavours. Jokes aside. Tis a shame. Your ego obviously has been dented. Seeing as though you've been around since 1953/52, and with 30 years more experience and wisdom in life than I have, there probably isn't much I can say that you don't already know. Some Inspirational Quotes for you: It's not whether you get knocked down, its whether you get back up - Vince Lombardi. Here's a harden the F*$% up quote I often tell myself. HARDEN THE F%$^ UP! - Demon-4-Life However, should you feel the need to alter the club you have supported for your entire life, that have offered you pleasure, pain, frustration, happiness, joy, due to an anonymous person, who you have never met, who you will never meet, who you don't know denting your ego...so be it. PS: Did I mention: HARDEN THE F%$^ UP?

What did we just do? We got rid of those that don't train or play to the standard that will push the club to the standard it is required to be at to win a premiership. We got rid of those that do not possess the build or hunger for the contest required to win a premiership. We gained experience of players that do know what is required of a premiership. We gained mature bodies that can withstand the rigours and contests required of a premiership.

When was this?

You can always become a teacher. *apologies to actual teachers out there. Just a bit of tongue in cheek. I highly respect the effort and what our education system does.

if you look at that draft year...it wasn't a great one. Hindsight is great, but outside of cotchin, kruezer, dangerfield and rioli, grimes, mcevoy and ebert, the rest aren't too crash hot and aren't really holding down regular spots.

Way I look at it: Who would I trust: gysberts or pederson in the heat of the battle? Pederson. Who would I trust: morton or rodan in the heat o the battle? Rodan. Simple as that.

its happened. Morton gone.

A lot of water to pass under the bridge. Wouldn't be surprised if we still pick up some free agents as well. There was a post about Neeld wanting mature bodies. I can not see the likes of Cook, Gysberts or Morton putting on the bulk to compete in the battles of finals footy. While there may be "potential", you also have to think of the training track. There is more time spent training than actually playing. And if 10-15% of our list are skinny, weak twigs, it is the whole team that gets let down as they aren't competing against the bigger bodies. I don't 100% agree with what MFC are doing, but I can at least understand it.

I'm more concerned about Strauss and where his contract is at.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CAMERON PEDERSEN

I'd be happy with: Clark - 50 goals Dawes - 30 goals File - 20 goals Byrnes - 15 goals -
I think you'll find keeping gysberts will either make or break him. Last pre season he was running with Blease. Blease over the season improved and bought in. I know Gys had injury issues, but the fact that he didn't play seniors made me assume he hadn't bought in to the program. With another year, I reckon he's going to have to realise he's going to have to buy in this year otherwise he may no longer be in the AFL next year. Once he does this I reckon his upside will be huge and we'll have a damn good player on our hands.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRIS DAWES

Olisik, I understand your hesitation. I understand your pessimism. That is definitely your choice. However, try not to sap the life and hope out of many Demons supporters at a time where hope is being restored. Go for your life after a shocking loss, but not at this MEGA AWESOME TIME OF EXCITEMENT!!! How about a post like: Byrnes could be a speedy midfielder who will fill a gap and bring in some professionalism. Barry looks a classy outside left footer with great run and carry and oozing talent. Dawes, a talented professional gorilla who will help our team massively structurally. Viney, the best inside mid of the draft and exactly what our team needs. Hogan, could be the best forward since Franklin. Can't wait to see what they achieve on the field all playing together!
