Im drunk waited 19 years for this fookin love my Dee. We wanted it and we got it. Turned it into a scrap from the outset and were tougher. BTW FU Umps
-
Maybe it's because I haven't seen us beat Meth Coast at Subi in 19 years (I was holidaying in Europe in 2002 win) that has me going tonight not confident of seeing us win. Watts and Jones out hurts us but good teams find a way. If we turn it into a scrap we win because we're harder than them. We must bring that pressure game from the get go to have a chance
-
Love him he is a true clubman. A premiership would mean everything to him and he's so deserving but if misses out he will still be fondly remembered by not only Dees but by many supporters

Christian Salem signs on for 2 more years
Pennant St Dee replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well done MFC really like how Salem is progressing -
Just checked heading into last round we were a game ahead of Bombers Tigers Crows and Meth Coast with us having a very inferior percentage . We were 1 game behind St Kilda. Bombers lost on the Saturday which guaranteed us finals and opened up spot for Richmond. Saints lost and we belted the Toiges with the Wiz also taking a memorable grab. We were good that September accounting for eventual Premiers the Crows and Saints before going down to the flag favourites North in the prelim. Remember our form that September and it was one that got away
-
Didn't we have to win against Richmond in the last round to guarantee finals. We belted them they missed out and we ended up top four
-
He trained in a private session and was worked hard. They'll see how he pulls up
-
I was planning on watching it here in WA expecting us to be talked up. But I'll watch something else Cheers for the heads up
-
This will tell us a lot about where we are at, if we're ready for the next step and whether winning a final is more than a hope. Our boys in the space of 6 days with many in the footy media went from being underdogs against the Pies and finals outsiders to 3 in a row, top 4 contenders and possibly in flag contention. Just hope they stay focussed, hard at it and don't start being content. We're on a journey but still a fair way to go and and as hard as it sounds, we've still achieved nothing to date

Im basing this on two games i saw live this season. Im basing it on seeing him live twice this season. And games watched on television. Your oponion is he's a better kick than Hunt. Not mine My opinion us Hunt is a more aggressive player
-
Have to laugh at so many media pundits putting a big price tag on Johanisen when to me Hunt is a much better and more aggressive player. The amount of time JJ turns the ball over is ridiculous for someone valued so highly
-
Watch again he's very close to Pendles around stoppages and when the Pies tried to hold possession. As soon as we got hold of the ball he ran very hard off Pendlebury. In the second half when we started to dominate the stoppages he didn't need to be as close
-
Make no mistake late in the final quarter when we were deep inside our defensive 50 under immense pressure he pit his head over the ball to draw high contact and stem the tide. Many of our other players would have panicked and kicked blindly
-
Seriously I just want to hear he's in good health after what he's been through
-
Close the thrrad and just look at the Doggies game. We are building but no where not far enough down thr track yet to be looking to far ahead
-
Just wondering who cut the corridor off in the second half. You don't need to have the ball to have an impact

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 12

6. Jones 5. Petracca 4. Viney 3. Tmac 2. Oliver 1. Watts Also good solid efforts by Hannan, Tyson, and Nibler. Ps forgot Omac couple of bad turnovers early but had a decent game after. The Omac haters will just focus on the turnovers but he wasn't Robinson Crusoe there -
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pennant St Dee replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
In hindsight we'd take Lever, however we couldn't foresee what was going to occur with Gus. Having said all that and whilst many were pushing Stevie May, who don't get me wrong is a gun defender and would provide massive improvement, Lever to me has some outstanding leadership and culture building qualities. I think he'll stay at the Crows but jeysus I'd love to see him in the Red & Blue for 2017 and beyond -
Ive no issue offering Spencer a 2 year contract as cover. Get games into King and flip and by the end of 2018 the FD will ne well awsre of where our future stocks are at

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Pennant St Dee replied to ignition.'s topic in Melbourne Demons
Balic showed a lot at WAFL level last season and was very important for Peel in their Premiership run. He has plenty of ability and potential. My query on Balic is his desire to succeed. My mail is it is homesickness and family matters. Nothing sinister. I think Freo are resigned to losing him. Change of environment could be good. Wouldn't be more than a 3rd rounder -
Disagree with this Maldonboy. No Sandilands today saw Grundy and Griffen keeping it in close. Treloar, Adams, Pendles, Crisp and Sidebottom were all very good in close and were to good for Fyfe Neale Mundy and Blakely. Had Sandi played would have been a lot different with the outside run of the Hill brothers. We must break even at the clearances against the Pies
