The 2014 AFL National Draft
Adelaide - Depending on where they finish they may be open to trading one of Sloane or Dangerfield, Sloane yes and Danger only if they believe he may walk at the end of 2015, Brisbane - They need a replacement for Brown, I doubt Rockliff would be put on the table or Luenberger and given they may finish close to us a trad eis unlikely Carlton - This is the club who will be big time looking for KPP, but who do they have/or are likely to give who would improve our list. Collingwood - IMO it would depend on how their young players come on namely Keefe, Witts and what Jesse White shows, I would consider Sidebottom and an exchange of first round picks Essendon - Can't see them chasing any KPP'S Freo - as you suggest their eye and money will be on HOGAN, they wont offer Fyfe, Mundy may return home but I don't see it unless it to a flag contender Geelong - I think they will back their philosophy of drafting well and producing from within GC17 - They have a gun midfield and lack the forwards of GWS, Prestia and Swallow recently just signed highly unlikely but they are the two I would be asking about GWS - Dylan Shiel and their activated mid first round pick?, they may get offered a Kruezer/Yarran or someone else in exchange for Patton and may wish to get another KPP in Hawthorn - agree with you can't see them chasing a young KPP North Melbourne - agree with you I would want Ziebell and their firts round pick for pick 1 Port Adelaide - can't see it but if you don't ask you don't get, Schulz it not getting any younger, How about Ollie Wines - I know it wont happen Richmond - don't see it happening St Kilda - as you say they will be down with us so not likely to get hold of Jack Steven for Pick 1 or 2 Sydney - agree with you West Coast - they would still love a small forward and some pace through the middle and could give something with their first pick if they finish high enough for a crack at the Indigenous Jarrod's from South Freo Pickett/Garlett Western Bulldogs - I expect them to finish fairly low and wouldn't they love two picks in the top 5, put it on the plate and ask what are you prepared to give

Johnson dominates at WAFL level and I am often asked why the Dees let him go andmy reply is Johnson is to slow at AFL level, has a big turning circle and gets bullied by bigger more mobile ruckman at the next level. One of the people I have said this to on numerous occassions attended the East Perth vs Peel game on the weekend as his son plays for East Perth. On Monday he said to me now I see what you mean about Johnson, Clarke showed the difference in a WAFL & AFL standard ruckman. I am sure there are plenty of boys in Victoria who carve it up at VFL level but can't make the step. On Clutterbuck he is one of many who are very good mids but just don't have the x-factor for the next level

The 2014 AFL National Draft
Josh DELUCA is a kid I will be keen to see in WAFL and how he progresses. Caught my eye a little bit last year as a younger colts player and found plenty of the ball in the midfield. Subiaco will have an improved team in the WAFL and if DELUCA gets regular game time in the seniors will be interesting to see how he goes.

Jimmy Toumpas
Tom Mitchell - plays alongside O'Keefe, Jack, Hanneberry, Kennedy, McVeigh, Bolton & Mcglynn O'Meara - Ablett,Bennell & Prestia Crouch - Thompson, Dangerfield, Mckay, Sloane, Vince & Van Berlo Wines - Ebert, Boak, Hartlett, Wingard & Cornes I don't think I need to say anything else
-
Jimmy Toumpas
and the fact you didn't give Dunn votes yesterday says a lot about your footy knowledge

Jimmy Toumpas
I'm sorry but Watts' debut against the Pies in that QB game is nothing close to what occurred to Jimmy T last week. For starters Watts had not played senior football like Toumpas for the previous two seasons, Watts had barely played much TAC cup in the previous season. Watts was very much a boy against men initiation which was a stupid publicity stunt to draw a crowd to our big showcase game for the year. Jimmy T had been steadily improving as he spent more time in the seniors and didn't look out of place against the Cats. Without being in the inner sanctum I don't know what was wrong with him last week, I am not going to judge him on one game. There could be a number of factors for his poor game. Lets not panic

Jesse Hogan v Joe Daniher
Weren't you the one who quoted on another thread re the Dogs, where you slated our list, not to expect to much from Hogan because we can't develop kids! So don't expect to much but he is going to be better than Danniher who in your words will be a superstar.

Jack Watts
Norm please take your sanity somewhere else, I thought Pies fans were lacking in intelligence but some on Demonland are giving them a run!
-
Jack Watts
Because people previously at the club and Jack himself have to carry a large portion of the blame for how it got to that stage
-
Jack Watts
At last some sanity prevailing The day of decent journos is long gone, it is no secret most of what they get is from club fan forums, Player agents are not stupid either and just play the game
-
Josh Caddy
I'm hearing you but we haven't picked him up by day 2, which incidently only relates to free agency for the handwringers But what would Harrington know, does he not read facebook or check daily with the recruiting gurus we have on demonland

My understanding with Gumbleton is he wants to stay at the Bombers, similar to Dees support of Sam Blease while he was injured, Scott feels he owes the club. Having said that though with Joe Danniher being taken on Essendon do have an abundance of talls and may need to off load 1 or 2. I know there are the injury concerns but have been told from someone close to Scott during his last Op on his back they found a bone spur, which had been undetected that was causing the pain and he has been able to train freely once it was removed. I'd still go for Cloke but only if it didn't affect other contracts going forward, but should that fall over you could do worse than Gumbleton, saw him play colts in WA and he was outstanding, thought he would be really good at AFL level but injury curtailed him

Started the season well at East Perth but has suffered a form slump the last month or so, pretty much like most of East Perth, which is good to see hate the Royals!
-
Josh Caddy
Not saying he is a must keep just saying Caddy is not worth pick 13 + Martin, Martin has other trade value with Collingwood & Hawthorn looking for other ruck options
-
Josh Caddy
and if Caddy wants out the longer trade week goes they will get pick 13 and a player, Clark came for pick 12 and is far more proven than Caddy. they can beat their chest all they want if the kid wants to come home than take what is on offer sorry you cant have Martin and really if it takes 2 players who we are going to delist anyway plus pick 13 than do that, but Suns aren't getting Martin
-
Josh Caddy
Cheers for that wasn't certain how it worked
-
Josh Caddy
Not fully sure of f/s picks , trading etc, but where do the bombers stand if they trade their first pick for Caddy does that allow them to take Danniher with their second round pick

Blazer Glory
I like it we are the oldest football club in the world with a proud tradition, lets embrace it while we move forward and create new memorable moments for this great club. Not everyone has Brownlows to look back on and lets face it the jumper changes every year or two, when your old and retired you can show your grandkids your blazer you got for playing with the Dees, can't by them in the shop son

Seen him play for East Perth this year a couple of times and he has played well, but WAFL players who I have seen who have really stood out for mine, Luke Blackwell (Ex Blues), Mark Hutchins (Ex Saints), Kyle Horsley, Kane Mitchell and there are some other boys like Ian Richardson, Ross Young & Jason Salecic who have stood up for years in the league and have bigger bodies for the middle but time has probably passed them by.
