Doesn't matter whether GWS or the insurance pays his salary it still falls under the same cap

I think I just opened up a primary school chat room. Wtf is with this thread childish sniping by long time supporters not to mention the gullible nature of people who take anything GNF and COMB say as having any validity

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

You get 2 drafts right close together and you set yourself up very well for multiple flag tilts Cats in 99 & 2001 drafts got Enright, Corey, Scarlett, Stevie J, Ablett, Chapman, Bartel and Kelly. Hawks in 2001 & 2004 got Hodge, Ellis, Mitchell, Franklin, Roughead & Lewis -
2017 Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy
Pennant St Dee replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
After all the threads over years slating our draft choices, rest assured we absolutely nailed our first pick in 2015. Well done Clarrie you are going to be something special -
No to both Griffen is cooked Clarke is not up to it

I agree RPFC but it may take several years to identify the value of the trade. Not that demonlanders will accept that. Emotions will get the better of them. There can be wins on both sides of trades Judd & Kennedy/Masten who won that trade and think how it changed each season in terms of who gained Vince & pick 23 Matt Crouch has turned where we were ahead for 2 seasons bit Crouch development in 18 months has been outstanding The Hawks trade for O"Meara doesn't look great at the moment but lets look back in a year or two

Can be viewed that way by the courts but they on many occasions give the players a wrap on the knuckles In 2006 Heath Black escaped with a fine for incidents at the Perth Cup where he was charged with Assaulting a female police officer and also charged with AOBH. Paddy should know better his father worked as an APLO with Wapol for many years

I think they are anticipating a rebuild year in the next two years so if Gaff does leave he will get a very good contract and will more than likely end up with 2 top 10 picks in a talented draft. Or Gaff extends so think they will do well either way

Dont talk nonsense he's not the first and he won't be the last. Off the top of my head Gary Ablett jnr, Stevie J and Michael Walters were all publicly criticised for not meeting standards. Two of those were banished from training with the senior squads for extended periods. Each one of them raised the bar and became far more professional in their preparation and attitude. Don't for one second think Jack wasn't previously given ultimatums in terms of what is expected and he would have been told in his 2016 exit interview how he was expected to return. Well we all know he didn't meet those requirements which show he was content with his 2016 season which whilst his best wasn't the best someone like him should achieve. Several of our players were interviewed in the pre season and asked about Jack and they all towed the party line stating Jack hadn't met the team standards. The club knows his potential as do other clubs and despite what some delusional Deminlanders think the club won't let him go for peanuts. Goodwin and the FD have finally drawn a line in the sand. Jack knows exactly where he stands now

I listened to Mahoney this morning and was very impressed with him. Didn't sugar coat any of it and was very open and to the point. If Jack stays he's been left under no illusions as to what is required

Disagree Port never really gained anything from the Stevens stance and Rawlings had a handful of decent games at the Dogs. Clubs have evolved and have come to realise there's no point having a player who doesn't want play for you. I very much doubt North would waste pick 3 on a player who will want out after year 1 when there's talent available. We've already made the decision we wont use pick 10 so if we very much front end load Levers contract we can take him with pick 10 or another 1st rounder we may trade up to with a player exchanged with 10. We would keep pick 27 with this scenario and despite all there tough talk the Crows will be fully aware of this and IMO Lever and his manager would have reiterated this point and that will be why there's bad blood -
This is not correct at all. Dusty possesses freakish natural power, agility and acceleration. I am aware he does a lot of cardio and endurance work. All players have specifically modified programmes for their particular needs

And I cheered loudly when they kicked away from Crows. -
He's also a much better forward and ball user than Castagna Butler Townsend & Lambert but it takes many parts to make a forward line function. All 22 have to play their role. I'll wait and see the outcome as the next year to 2 progresses over jumping to conclusions based on the player or pick we get. We can have outcomes where all involved can come out positive. I wish Jack well whatever the outcome but the club moving forward is priority for me

If you say he is enough times does that make it true. I've list count how many times in this thread he's been referred to as a AA defender -
Do Melbourne supporters dislike hard players?
Pennant St Dee replied to red&blue1982's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would think the Dees favourites in Viney, Oliver and Jetta put that myth to bed -
This pretty much sums up my view. Work in progress, I think Goody had a good year overall. He made plenty of errors and lets hope he learns from them and makes us a better side. Playing group also needs very much to learn from the mistakes

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Pennant St Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Liam Ryan was disappointing yesterday in the WAFL Grand Final. Struggled as he did last season against AFL defenders who gave him little room. In his defence on a couple of occasions the delivery was not great but he doesn't work hard enough to get enough separation from the defender. Very few second efforts yesterday. He got worked over physically at every opportunity. 4th rounder or Rookie at best -
Sloane, Cotchin and Ellis will all be cleared. Zac Jones, Shuey and Ollie Wines were all cleared in H & A for similar or in Shueys case he went past the ball

It aint just Damo, that f-wit Hagdorn as he does every year has been pushing it for a while now. He did the same for years with Pavlich back to Adelaide (the city) rumours till he finally gave in. Hope we have a similar outcome with a Premiership thrown in
-
A) can't believe every time I hear this discussed, it doesn't get shut down straight away or somebody at least asks how they propose to achieve this. Especially with the tv rights Premier league teams each have their own individual ground so we would have to have only 2 games in Victoria involving 4 Vic sides playing at MCG and Etihad , 1 game in Tassie, 1 in WA, 1in SA, Suns, Lions, Swans & GWS playing at home. B) No unbelievable advantage as we also knew precisely what we had to do

We are red and blue. FFS if we clash eith the dark colour of Bombers Blues Port Meth Coast then red jumper and blue yoke or MFC monogram with white shorts sorts that out. Hope Tigers wear their traditional jumper and pay the fine

Nor should he be ferocious attack on the footy, focused on the footy, got down low and any high contact was incidental. The head rule relates to choosing to bump and not what occurred today. If he misses a GF for that the games fooked
