THE DRAFT: TAC CUP FUTURE STARS ROLLING DRAFT
BAMF replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I usually get right into the draft. It's been one of the things that keeps me going in crappy years. I'm finding it very hard to get into now that we have appointed Roo's. Its hard to know who to look at when your not sure if you are going to have first and second round picks. I guess it will be a lot more exciting when the trading period is over. -
They would be very foolish to get rid of him. They risk going backwards while there window is still open by changing coaches now.
-
What inside info has demoneyes got right? There were a few times when his info was completely wrong.
-
I would take either. But its Taylor Adams for me. He is not far off being as good as Martin. He would be cheaper salary cap wise. Would cost us less at the trade table. Not as much baggage.
-
Thats because there are articles saying he is leaving. Remeber the [censored] storm on here when Jack Watts was on the footy show and didnt seem too sure about staying?
-
If we get him. We will be giving up pick 2 in some way.
-
Jeez some people have thin skin. Jolly wrote an article explaining why he left Melbourne. Daniher didn't play him and didn't have much time for him. So he moved on. What am I missing here?

Tudor Rules himself out as P. Roos assistant

Buckley and Voss. I just can't see it working. -
I actually missed the queens birthday match this year as I was in fiji. I followed the game via demonland and general consensus was that Jamar easily beat Jolly in the ruck. Any one recall? Interestingly enough, Jamar turned up at my resort a day later.

I use to dislike him. Pretty sure it started when he had a hair cut and it made the back page news back in 2006 or 2007. Always thought he was over rated. He ripped it up in 2010, 2011 and 2012. He was tough would run hard both ways, use the ball well and would be heavily involved in every contest he could. He became one of my favourite players to watch over that period. Only question is his recent injury concerns. He hasn't been able to get back on the park for a long time now. My thoughts are that he would go to Carlton. But lets offer him a heap of cash and see if we can get him. Landing a free agent is a great way for us to turn our midfield around. Have to try and retain Sylvia of course or accept reduced compensation at least.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS
BAMF replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ben Cousins was 30 when he went to Richmond. Played 2 years before a consistent hamstring problem stopped him from continuing. His hamstring problem started when playing for west coast. Cross is a great guy and does not have injury concerns or a drug problem. -
Nope. He is not a free agent, therefore we would need to give something of value to get him. If we could get him for free or very very cheaply I would be all for it.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS

I vote yes. -
Ha! That would be great! I would love to see the look on Gysberts face if that happened
-
I would give up pick 2 for the Sloane Ranger. I would want something else thrown our way though. Our fouth round pick for their third round pick for instance.
-
David Buttifant left today also.
-
"Not welcome" sounds very sinister. Do they just mean "thanks for your time but your time is over". Or is there something more going on? A lot of people leaving the pies, onfield and off. Buckley may have been a terrible choice.
-
Seems fine to me. Im with iinet.
-
Ahh.. thanks.
-
where you hearing this Demonof1994?
-
Am I missing something? Why do so many of these hypotheticals include pick 10?
-
Ok. Topic says done deal. Post says rumour. Not cool.
-
Really? Lake was traded. 100% positive on that. Surely he was eligible for free agency? In any case. You are wrong. Monfries was a free agent. He was traded because Port did not want to dilute their compensation for Pearce. Look it up if you need. Wikipedia - afl draft 2012.
