  1. Grundy should have been top 10. Easily.
  2. I cant see Brisbane ditching Voss unless they had a quality replacement lined up.......
  3. Yes. That summed up his final years. Thats why he was let go earlier than he would have liked. Do you think that summed up his entire career? Defensive pressure in the fwd50 wasnt used when Robbo started playing fo us. The game changed.
  4. Harsh on Robbo. Its easy to forget how good he was in his prime. A matchup nightmare for opposition teams, and a match winner. Its his final years that have tainted his image. The game simply changed and he could not. I would love another Robbo. A younger one who could learn defensive pressure.
  5. So Davis played forward, and Watts played back? I think I know where we went wrong tonight.
  6. I only want players with above average speed. Or a good burst of acceleration if an inside type. Good disposal and speed is what I would like our recruiters to look for. Good body size a close third.
  7. I don't get the hate. Knightmare had his 2013 phantom draft up last year. He changes it often based on what he see's and hears throughout the year. Would you prefer he waits until a week before the draft and then put one up? He hasn't just gone with the group think list's like most phantom drafts. These are his genuine thoughts on where the players will go based on a thorough following of junior football. His phantom thread is over 50 pages long. Most of the posts are from Knightmare answering other posters questions. Personally I prefer other posters like Quigley (who will tell you why a player won't make it) and Snoop dog's. But I'm not going to bag a guy out who has devoted a lot of spare time watching and sharing his opinion on junior football. I'll be looking forward to your phantom draft mjt.
  8. [censored] oath. Can we learn to tackle please? So gutted right now. Rock bottom.
  9. It's such a shame that I look forward to watching football each week. Its one of the only things I enjoy doing. And this team of [censored] heads just fluff about. How about working hard for one? Jesus [censored] Christ. The players should practice running all preseason. Oh thats right, you did.wouldn't [censored] know it the way you play. Dunn. Can you please just [censored] off? Seriously. Make an impact on the game or [censored] off.
  10. So if a kid wants to play for Melbourne then we should draft him? You have a great football brain,
  11. maybe Did you should read the thread? Heaps of info.
  12. You haven't met Freak then?
  13. Why not? Hurley was ready made and produced early and was touted as 'THE NEXT BIG THING' in the Hereld Sun. He is not much better now than the day he was drafted. Watts has improved big time, and while he still has me shaking my head sometimes, he looks like he might actually make improvement into the player we thought he might be. At the moment Ollie Wines is making most of wish we drafted him. Maybe we should be patient with Toumpas and not bag the [censored] out of him at every chance?
  14. Naha's over Jetta for me. What would either cost? 3rd round draft pick?
  15. Billy Stretch's best friend apparently.
  16. I'm not bagging out either player. I just don't think they are ready for Afl yet.
  17. Our conversation is amazing considering how many times I scream at the tv for bad delivery from our mids.
  18. This kid should not be playing afl footy. He should be at Casey working on his game. Same with Kent. Its a shame our list is so bad that we have no one to play ahead of these kids.
  19. Yeah, not sure about Devon but Scully's knee has taken 1cm off him. Drafted stats were taken from Bigfooty Phantom drafts, Recent figures are from club websites.
  20. This kid is rated as the clear number 2 at the moment. I have to admit that his size is an issue for me. We have had too many skinny kids in recent years and look set to pick up Stretch next year who looks to be a bit of a beanpole too. So I did a bit of looking around at some old phantom drafts to compare to others his size when drafted. CALLAN WARD 184cm 73kg Now - 185cm / 83kg Will Hoskin-Elliot 186cm, 73kg Now- 186cm /76kg Chad Wingard 182cm, 77kg Now - 182cm / 78kg Devon Smith - 175cm, 76kg Now 174cm / 76kg Hamish Hartlett- 182cm, 74kg Now - 185cm / 83kg Stephen Coniglio / 182cm / 76kg Now - 182cm / 81kg Sam Blease - Midfielder - 183cm, 72kg Now - 184cm / 77kg Stephen Hill - Midfielder - 182cm, 72kg Now - 182cm / 82kg Jake Melksham 182cm / 70kg Now - 186cm / 84kg Dan Hannebery - Midfielder - 182cm, 75kg Now 181cm / 81kg David Zaharakis - Midfielder - 180cm, 73kg Now 185cm / 85kg Tom Scully - Midfielder - 182cm / 74kg Now - 181cm / 78kg Ryan Bastinac 183cm / 74kg Now - 184cm / 84kg Lachie Whitfield - 184cm / 74kg Now - 187cm / 75kg Verdict: His size wont matter if he is good enough.
  21. I think we need both inside and outside. Will be happy to pick best available at pick 2.
