WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM FROST

IIRC rookie upgrades are usually the last draft pick. -
We can only hope! And perhaps a little prayer would help.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT
angrydee replied to Demon3's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think a contented Jeffy will improve us and he's come at a bargain basement price. Jeffy, the Jet and JKH has a nice ring to it. -
All of my children (ages 22 - 46) and grandchidren (excluding the 2yo ages 7 - 21) were raised to love aussie rules. NONE now follow the game.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

There was a ponce named Little Whose toughness was so brittle He lacked the balls To make the tough calls And got knocked over like a skittle -
Perhaps he brought it with him and it and will take the shite to his new club. May he never play finals for the rest of his career.

Agree about bb. But firmly believe that young Dimmy will be a very good player for us.

FWIW, One of Frawley's uncles said at lunch last Friday that James is still undecided whether to stay or go.

Luke Hodge and the super draft 2001 (not for us sadly)

Now don't forget Brad Miller at 55. For this club it could almost be counted as a recruiting coup. -
Once again we can all suckle at the breast of fantasy

The AFL is slowly turning into a penniless EPL. It will eventually wither and die,

Stevic has consistently been the worst umpire in the AFL. Ever since his first game. And he seems to save his very worst for us.

Bye bye Blease you were a tease often pensive never defensive how i prayed you'd be a trade for you no tick just a wasted pick

What integrity?

My memory often plays tricks on me, but I seem to recall Jack Viney rating Toumpas ahead of his good mate.

I will only be upset that we picked Dmitri if he's not one of our most important players when we make a charge at the finals in 2 to 3 years time.

Gill the dill (I'm sure that Dimwit pushed for him as his successor only to make his own reign appear superior) apparently does nothing without the approval of the rich and powerful clubs. Appeasement works really well - ask Neville 'peace in our time' Chamberlain. Bread and circuses (with perhaps an opposition fan being fed to the Brisbane lion) will replace any meaningful discussions on the betterment of the game. Fifty cents off the price of pie, a buck off a beer, some discounted seating and a laser show before games and all will be well in the land of Gill. Lip service will continue to be paid to equalization, but I have little doubt that it will remain in the too hard basket for some time yet. And the AFL will go the way of the EPL.

Good ball user. My criticism of him as an under 18 was that he didn't get enough ball. It is still what worries me.

Thanks for the reports

If anyone thinks re-signing Riley was....
angrydee replied to Leoncelli_36's topic in Melbourne Demons
He is just a bit rushed in everything he does. Has missed a lot of football and had no preaseason. If the Footy Gods are kind and he has a full preaseason, I suspect his disposal will improve significantly. He used the ball quite well until injured last year. -
