The Eagles have a 30 min TV show over here in the West and today they focused on what they considered one of the Clubs greatest wins which was the the 2011 Semi Final when the Eagles beat Carlton by 3 points at Subiaco. The Eagles players described one of the toughest games they'd played and at the end of it had me thinking Brett Ratten should be carefully considered.

After watching the Suns tonight I'd be surprised if any of them were going anywhere, they are going to be magnificent.

We'd be an organized team under Ross Lyon, we weren't anywhere near clever enough to nail him, the difference between now and then is -CS +PJ I am seriously just hoping and praying for Professionalism.

One thing that irritates me immensely is that WE DIDN'T HEADHUNT Ross Lyon, after watching the Coll v StK Grand Final, seeing Ross talking with the STK players on the ground after the game, I really felt at the time that he was done with the Saints and even allowing for his seemingly negative game plan, I was comfortable that his professionalism outweighed the negatives and we really we're in a position to land him. Totally peed off with our lack of SMARTS.

Flying to Dubai at 6am tomorrow morning and looking forward to reading how it all went when I get there. I'll wear my MFC top for the trip so as to align with you guys and gals and make this international.

We aren't going great on field but I do think that the elite and honesty vision Mark and Neil have for the Club is the right way forward, and to hear they made themselves available to mix with the volunteers is very very good. Our Club needs to nurture every relationship it can, I don't know what score out of ten the Club would get for how well they treat, volunteers/sponsors/players/foundationheroes/employees/members/supporters but I'd hope we can be elite in this area. Great work volunteers and it's encouraging to see that people are signing up.

I completely agree with this. At the time I was excited that we had a very good chance of landing an experienced coach but then had to put faith in the Club when MN was appointed. I was excited when I knew Nic Nat was coming to our Club after it was obvious we'd win the spoon, and then had to trust the Club when Jack was picked. I was excited by the push into China and the Energy Watch sponsorship. I was excited when Cam pencilled in Scully and Trengove and Run, on a restaurant napkin. There have been so many times where left field decisions have been made that just haven't moved us forward, please don't comment on each item in isolation that's not my point. I can no longer trust the decision making by those in charge, the time has come where this is no longer acceptable, unfortunately the owner/s of these ideas must be replaced and if the Board have given the go ahead to these ideas, must accept that they have also failed. Edit I can wait but it must happen.

Have to agree WYL my focus is squarely on Admin. We should start discussing what powers members hold, can we force extraordinary meetings, changes at board level etc.

A poster has suggested there are deep divisions within the Club! if this is the case then none of us will see success. If this is true, I as a loyal member want to know more, what is going on?

No mate, listening to Carey describe our effort as insipid and putrid gives all members the right to show how strong we are and give this Club what it deserves.... a massive boot fair up the @rse

In his speech at the commencement dinner said the MFC does not need or want fickle supporters! Old Dee picked up on it as a worrying sign, I wasn't sure I agreed at the time but I'm not so sure now.
