  1. I'm genuinely excited that we could finish with a few wins, and I'm definitely looking forward to taking my girls to Subi this year. But, I've been thinking recently, that a way for the AFL to have a strong Melbourne in this comp is for us to gain higher draft picks, and a way to do that could be...via the umpiring! I'm past getting angry with the umpiring now, I'm more focused on and interested to see if winnable games, which I reckon there are 4 of, are lost by momentum changing dubious decisions. I don't want to finish last, I want to win, if we play lousy footy and win the spoon I'll be extremely disappointed. If we play to our best and lose to better teams or, "divine" intervention occurs, I still won't be happy, but I can cop that.
  2. #Note to the AFL I'm finding the World Cup strangely addictive.
  3. Is it possible there was an unhealthy competitiveness between the best mates and could be the reason Wines was excluded?
  4. My take, we have to get used to the umpiring, obvious decisions every week going against us, but the Pies decision making overall was a class above. That was the difference.
  5. Fact is the teams been lousy for a while and to draw a line through any player during that period was born through frustration. Dunn has shown on enough occasions, especially last year and early in his career that he has the ability to play well at this level. To say that no one saw this coming is wrong, I'm thinking you haven't watched Dunn over his whole career.
  6. Would be jumping around like the Duracel battery if this happened but realistically doesn't a September come back seem too soon?
  7. I'd be disappointed if it was a reality check game having said that I don't think it will, I think they'll be switched on especially seeing Richmond lost after the bye. Port look extremely quick and as others have said turnovers will cost and I don't think we can kick enough goals.
  8. The Toump was picked as an emergency against Ninth?mond, assuming Nev's good to go, Jimmy's back as an emergency and of course Chip for Dawesy.
  9. Nothing that I can add other than I'd like his Brother here too.
  10. Just watched the replay, no way Bail gets dropped, he impacts contests and does the 1 %ers. Played well, he's improving. The other sacrificial, Byrnes, surprised me as well, so unless someones played 2 or 3 blinders in a row at Casey ( I know nobody has) they keep their spots.
  11. RIP Tommy Hafey, loved the bloke even with his dubious footy allegiances 82 is a pretty good innings, I bet Tommy imagined he'd live longer though. Recently we've lost others much younger. It's a reminder to all of us, to think about our own timing, that is, not leave our living until it's too late to enjoy!
  12. Thrilled but also poignant to wish Lynch the best in his recovery and hopefully no hard feelings.
  13. This confirms Barrett you are clueless and have no credibility.
  14. A new era for this great Club unfolding before our eyes..........you absolute beauty.
  15. With hindsight, when Dangerfield was named to play the next game, Trengoves suspension should have been reversed, Dangerfield wasn't concussed.
  16. I'm being pedantic and non trusting but I hope we have followed up and have proof that the fracture is on the left side.
  17. When I motioned from my seat for the 1%ers, a hand in here a pressure act there, and for most of the game what I hoped they'd do they actually did.
  18. Agree.....looking forward to Riley hitting the 1st's with form.
  19. Must've been awesome to attend a win in Adelaide. Hopefully Perth soon!
  20. Three blokes going hell bent for the ball, awesome courageous footy we all love.
