  1. We are interested in Sam Collins and Marty Hore from VFL apparently. Hoped to get Collins as DFA, but must go in the draft now. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/free-agent-target-collins-sent-to-the-draft-20180813-p4zx9t.html
  2. Third rounder. Approx pick 43, of little use in a trade
  3. Ah yes, the blazers. Didn't someone find one in an op shop down Frankston way a while back?
  4. I didn't hear him say it was big or small on TF. He said he'll know when he speaks with docs tomorrow
  5. Just interviewed on Talking Footy. Very nervous, not a great speaker. Was asked about staying long term at the Dees. Gave the well rehearsed, straight bat response. He's Gawn!
  6. I opened thinking this thread was about old dee's birthday
  7. Stick a skewer in the bastards eardrums before the game. Can never be too careful
  8. Go to your account (top right three horizontal bars) then ignored users, then type in "sir why you little", and select "yes". ? ?
  9. I blame the ghosts I saw in SWYL's mate's house! ??
  10. With his contract expiring in 14 months I'd say common sense would be to consider options rather than shouting outrage. If he re-signs, good. If not, what are some of the possible outcomes (apart from many on this thread crying in a foetal position)
  11. Geez you're stubborn Wise! I said earlier, the line for untradable (whatever that means) should be Oliver and Gawn. And Hogan hasn't kicked 50 in a game (!) Or even 50 in a season yet. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, particularly with foot scans in play. I thought BAs suggestions plausible. To some extent, contracts mean zilch. GWS may want to retain The Rabbit or Whitfield, but if... if they want out a trade is likely. 'If' being the critical word. Apparently Gov jnr at Adelaide will be doing just that in October. Strange things happen at trade time. Hogan's current contract finishes in 14 months. We might be forced to trade him out. What is he realistically worth on the open market and what trade scenarios could be worked? Or shall we just keep our heads in the sand...
  12. Unlikely as they've just signed Gov for 5 years at $385mill per season and the compo pick they'd get for Gaff would likely be around mid 1st round
  13. Wise, every club has very good players in contract that could still be traded. 'Actually available' is is a bit of a furphy. Technically, Hogan is contracted and not 'actually available', but here we are, discussing it! And it's worth noting that Hogan is not ready made, he still has major deficiencies that are currently preventing him from reaching near his peak. But the potential is certainly there. As I've said, I'd like to retain him and work on things he can improve, but in a year's time if his contract expires without re-signing, that may be moot. Look, just because Hogan is a young, key forward kicking 47 goals doesn't mean we can't have a reasonable conversation about his worth to the team and his value on the open market, especially given the yearly rumours. It's tiresome reading some posters outrage, belittling and name calling when these types of discussions arise. And yes, I know I'm no angel. ?
  14. Except if you look 2 posts above yours you'll see I state facts which also contradict Garry's MFCSS. Nothing is more boring than posters telling others what to do or how to think.
  15. Except we are currently a top 8 team (FYI we are 7th), might still make the finals and have defeated teams that were top 8 when we beat them. See how the facts have a habit of getting lost in all the negative emotion?
  16. And if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle. Playing injured us no excuse once the white line is crossed. If injured, rest him and play someone else. Clearly I'm not as wedded to keeping Hogan as some on here. I'd prefer to retain him, but if the price is right and he is having 2nd thoughts, let's do it. For this season, I'm more worried about the long bombs i50 and our inability to convert set shots.
  17. Nice hyperbole Wise. If Hogan stalls to recommit and the right trade can be done, he is certainly tradable
  18. I'd say Gawn and Clarry are the only two untouchables ATM. I'd rather keep Hogan, but if he was thinking twice about his future at the Dees and we could extract Cerra (or similar) and a good pick out of Freo, then why the hell not?
