I've had this strange fear of speed bumps whilst driving. But I'm slowly getting over it....

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Moonshadow replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would end Pedo's career. -
I disagree Wise. IMO all list managers would be negligent to not be aware of the market value of their players. How else do they renegotiate new contracts or do trades? Jesse's contract ends in 14 months. They would assess the risk of player departing and do a cost/benefit. No one wants to be caught with their pants down. There are no serious indicators of Hogan leaving, so this is purely hypothetical. But this is a footy forum where people are permitted (by the grace of mods, of course) respectful discussion of 'what if's'. You can hold your breath til you are blue, but we will still be here!
-
Wild speculation and footy forums go hand in hand Neil!
-
Heres a couple of questions to the outraged on here: Who thinks that Taylor, Mahoney and Todd Viney haven't weighed up Hogan's market value and looked at scenarios should he want to move clubs, or for that matter if other clubs make big offers? If you think they have, why can't it also be discussed respectfully here?
-
Sheesh, Wise. Why all the agro and condescension? Some of us are discussing Hogan's hypothetical value. Do you think the FD don't weigh up his worth? I do not believe Bub is being disrespectful. None of us want him to leave. You make it sound that by shouting down free speech (a term which i generally dislike), you win. That's how Stuie used to operate, you know... Just sayin'

I think that's a bet we'd lose GCD

A little part of me wanted Oliver to miss out on the final 22 just so I could watch picket blow a phoofa valve. -
Seems unlikely Gaff will be a Dee next year. So what are our options then? Seems to be a bit of chatter about Dayne Beams.

I'd say he underbelieves. One thing is for certain, IF Hogan goes to Freo, at least he'll get favourable WA home ground umpiring for his constant free kick whinging (ducks and runs for cover...)
-
Neither of those are fact or necessarily true.

I know Gill and the AFL are easy targets for most f*** ups, bit in this case it's actually a deal between Ticketek and the MCG trust. The AFL have nothing to do with the deal (though they do reap the profits), the MCG and Ticketek are answerable for what went wrong. The WA game was sold through a different agency and apparently went smoothly. Time to ditch Ticketek

Gill wields his power (visas for au pairs & polo players)
Moonshadow replied to sue's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nah mate, using your position of influence to change due process knowing your family is a large political donor is simply wrong. Even I can see that and I'm not a rabid lefty. -
Adelaide also have Blues 2nd round pick (about 20) this year as part of the Gibbs deal and gave back their 2nd rounder (26ish). So they might have picks 2 (Carlton PP?), 9, 16 (from us) and 20.
-
Does that mean Crows will have 3 x first round picks in a draft allegedly strong in the first round?
-
And so it begins... Thankfully, we can look forward to the finals beginning after the bye.

Reports that Vic clubs are sniffing around Chad Wingard. Any info on this Scoop @Ethan Tremblay???

Login to your Ticketek account and go to 'order history'. Scroll down and you can print out your tickets from pdf, regardless of how you requested them. I requested mine by mobile ticket, but chose to print them off as a back up to mobile qr.

Possibly, but in this specific case it is clearly favouritism by the immigration minister, albeit he was probably advised poorly by his staff. Union affiliation fees to the Labor party are publicly declared party membership fees and as such, they are obliged to support the party's rules and policies. Political donations have no such restrictions, but I guess you knew that. Small point of difference, but notable. Fortunately I'm a member of the Baathist party dc, where it's a proud traditon to bribe and corrupt. Actually, I was aiming at corruption in general, and using this thread topic as an example. You know... the McLaughlins and the immigration minister's intervention. I care not for the Coca cola or the Pepsi cola parties. -

McLachlan family in Sth Australia reported to have made sizable donations ($150,000) to Liberal Party. How convenient. Any wonder we are rising on the corrupt countries ladder. -
Helpful when you lose your marbles and move in with the blue rinsers, dc!
