Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Gee there's some decent names coming out of contact in 2019. Need to lock away a few this year if possible, Hogan particularly

Anyone can see that if there was an option to poach a rising young gun then the first looked at would be our veterans, especially if their contract can be shifted from the cap. We have enough leadership to cope now. Players can't stay on our list forever, despite the thoughts of fanboys Great intel by Dee-licious too. Much appreciated- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Unfortunately we'll have to accept using pick 18 then ?- WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I heard Jake Lever say in an interview that Jason Taylor and Todd Viney were into him for about 18 months before he signed with us. He was impressed by their determination, persistence and confidence that he was the right person to target.- Andrew Gaff
Yes but they certainly wouldn't give up pick 10 let alone 25 or even 35 imo- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Not disagreeing that we got great value for the trade in hindsight, but I highly doubt Taylor or any club would call a 2nd round pick 'nothing'. And Pig wasn't an AA at the time. We differ in views, no biggie.- Jason Taylor Resume
I think Adelaide's 3rd rounder that we have will be about 36 or 37, which will get pushed back by F/S and academy matching. They get our 4th rounder, which will be late, so they may not use it. Our 1st rounder that they have will be 18.- Jason Taylor Resume
Hibbert was not brought in "for next to nothing". He cost us a 2nd rounder (and a swap of later picks). A few good players were taken at that point or later in the draft, such as Tom Stewart for Geelong and Jack Graham/Shai Bolton for Richmond. Of course, none with the experience of Hibberd, but they look to be handy players (arguably). Happy to have Pig with us. Some on Demonland thought a 2nd rounder was too much!- Andrew Gaff
Which of our player/s would we be prepared to lose from our list to accommodate a player such as Gaff? OOC or FA: Gus, TMac, OMac, Jetta. Who else? Not playing seniors: Tyson, Jeffy, JKH, Stretch, Hunt, Wags, Frost Veterans: Bernie, Lewis Removing a half a doz players to fit Gaff within the SC doesn't make sense. We have a set minimum number of players to list in 2019 and don't have unlimited draft picks. 5 poor players are not equal to one star. I'm thinking we may need to trade for Gaff even though he's RFA. This has been the trend in the last few years for quality, eg Danger- The No T$ No B$ Thread

I was at the game and bumped into Uncle Bitter. I feel like he's stalking me. Uncle spent the entire match swearing and spitting beer over all and sundry. Also sat near that pathetic Carlton supporter Dave Hughes, who definitely has a problem. Of course, he left at 3/4 time along with most of the Blues players- The No T$ No B$ Thread
