  1. Seems unlikely Gaff will be a Dee next year. So what are our options then? Seems to be a bit of chatter about Dayne Beams.
  2. We can walk and chew gum at the same time Jaded
  3. I'd say he underbelieves. One thing is for certain, IF Hogan goes to Freo, at least he'll get favourable WA home ground umpiring for his constant free kick whinging (ducks and runs for cover...)
  4. Neither of those are fact or necessarily true.
  5. I know Gill and the AFL are easy targets for most f*** ups, bit in this case it's actually a deal between Ticketek and the MCG trust. The AFL have nothing to do with the deal (though they do reap the profits), the MCG and Ticketek are answerable for what went wrong. The WA game was sold through a different agency and apparently went smoothly. Time to ditch Ticketek
  6. Nah mate, using your position of influence to change due process knowing your family is a large political donor is simply wrong. Even I can see that and I'm not a rabid lefty.
  7. Adelaide also have Blues 2nd round pick (about 20) this year as part of the Gibbs deal and gave back their 2nd rounder (26ish). So they might have picks 2 (Carlton PP?), 9, 16 (from us) and 20.
  8. Does that mean Crows will have 3 x first round picks in a draft allegedly strong in the first round?
  9. And so it begins... Thankfully, we can look forward to the finals beginning after the bye.
  10. Reports that Vic clubs are sniffing around Chad Wingard. Any info on this Scoop @Ethan Tremblay???
  11. Login to your Ticketek account and go to 'order history'. Scroll down and you can print out your tickets from pdf, regardless of how you requested them. I requested mine by mobile ticket, but chose to print them off as a back up to mobile qr.
  12. Possibly, but in this specific case it is clearly favouritism by the immigration minister, albeit he was probably advised poorly by his staff. Union affiliation fees to the Labor party are publicly declared party membership fees and as such, they are obliged to support the party's rules and policies. Political donations have no such restrictions, but I guess you knew that. Small point of difference, but notable. Fortunately I'm a member of the Baathist party dc, where it's a proud traditon to bribe and corrupt. Actually, I was aiming at corruption in general, and using this thread topic as an example. You know... the McLaughlins and the immigration minister's intervention. I care not for the Coca cola or the Pepsi cola parties.
  13. McLachlan family in Sth Australia reported to have made sizable donations ($150,000) to Liberal Party. How convenient. Any wonder we are rising on the corrupt countries ladder.
  14. Helpful when you lose your marbles and move in with the blue rinsers, dc!
  15. Careful Wise, it sounds like you are talking considered, hypothetical outcomes, albeit unlikely.
  16. Nice hyperbole again Wise. As many have said here, including me, the untradables are Oliver and Gawn. But if Dangerfield can be traded for go home factor, then anyone can. So knock yourself out mate.
  17. Mate, we don't want Jesse traded. We are discussing the scenarios in the event that the might be traded. You know... he may one day request a trade. Or perhaps another club makes the mother of all trade offers, unlikely as it is. If you bothered to read the last couple of pages rather than just the thread title before you post you would see some pretty good discussion on this. Of course everyone wants to retain Jesse and see him reach his full potential. That should go without saying. And FYI, Hogan has not kicked 50 in a season.
  18. OD how dare you be perfectly reasonable in only 7 words! If Hogan was having 2nd thoughts and a trade with Freo could land us Cerra and pick 5 (or similar) and we could package up 5 and our 2nd rounder for Whitfield, Cogniglio or Shiel, I think we'd have to seriously consider it. Would it improve our list? Yes. Does it fill needs that we currently have? Yes. Is it win/win? Yes
  19. Got them. Very excited. Unfortunately I will be sitting next to BBO. I pity the others sitting around us, he can get very nasty. Will have the security phone number at the ground on speed dial. Go Dees!
