Ah yes, but as a MFC member his spiritual home is the MCG
-
I sat next to him on Fri night, Toady. If he was wearing yoga pants, they were under the taffeta frock he had on.

Don't the have a 'studs up' rule in junior footy?
-
'Unduly rough play' seems to cover it. That would be the general one they could use. But as you point out Earl, there's no specific rule. Apart of martial arts, which sport permits an opponent to intentionally kick out at an opponent? Martial arts don't wear studded boots. It's a bad look, not in the spirit of the game and his intention wasn't self preservation, which is why I believed it to be within the rules. Clearly he was removing his opponent from the contest. I reckon he'd stop doing it pretty damn quickly if he was aggressively targeted in the same manner.

We'd ask for 5 plus Andrew Brayshaw, and probably settle for 5 plus Langdon or 5 plus Freo 2019 first rounder In that case I'd use 5 to tempt a star like Whitfield or Shiel, though talk is hot on Shiel to Bombers.
-
That's just ridiculous. He's needed, will stay, unless he has second thoughts. But I'm not as against a trade as others on here, were it to arise. Howerver, your trade scenario is irrational. No way Freo would give up that.

Changes v Hawthorn - Semi Final
Moonshadow replied to The Great Pretender's topic in Melbourne Demons
No change, unless key match ups need balance -
Mr Leg, where did I say this? I think it would be a great statement for Jesse to re-sign before the October trade period. After all, he loves the club, he loves living in Melbourne and we are on the rise. Gives him certainty during recovery from foot injury and the club would have clarity. I want him to stay, I've posted that repeatedly, but a strong club is more than any one player. No sane person wants to push Jesse out. With his contract coming up in 13 months, wouldn't it be fantastic for him to recommit soon rather than watch it drag on?
-
Yes, we will get enquiries. No harm looking at what's available and talking to Jesse about his next contract. His current one expires in 13 months. It's a fair conversation to have, especially with the development of Weid. Those saying Hogan should play as a tall mid are completely missing his main strength: a big bodied, contested marking beast. Any other team would stick him at CHF or FF and say "clunk a stack and kick a handful". We have such tall riches that we're actually talking about making him into a running mid??? Madness!
-
I too thought he would struggle too get back in the side. Providing lots of contests and tackles. Looking like he still has significant improvement left in his game too . Lots of upside to VDB
-
Che??? Can't see why you went back so far to quote me. At the time Weid could well have been considered whipping boy. Nothing to see here

Sitting next to BBO. Wish I wasn't. He's already told the young ladies next to us that it's "their lucky night!" Edit. They're calling him Harvey. What does that mean? -

Just saw Mitch Hannan at my local cafe enjoying a coffee. Looking very relaxed. Now I'm worried ? -
Dermot is a tool. He's only interested in Dermot. Fugazi.
-
Their precision kicking falls apart quickly under pressure. Richmond showed that tonight. Mitchell may get 40+, but if they are under pressure he is very average and prone to turning them over. Plus they'll be without Stratton. But we need to win vs Geelong first. Nothing else matters at this point.
-
Hawks playing for individual self preservation now
-
Jaegar O'Rated not looking like he's worth 2 x first rounders at the moment.
-
Stratton done a hammy
