Great awareness this kid- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Speaking In Tongues? Fear of Music?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Careful Wise, it sounds like you are talking considered, hypothetical outcomes, albeit unlikely.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
That bit we can both agree upon.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Nice hyperbole again Wise. As many have said here, including me, the untradables are Oliver and Gawn. But if Dangerfield can be traded for go home factor, then anyone can. So knock yourself out mate.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Mate, we don't want Jesse traded. We are discussing the scenarios in the event that the might be traded. You know... he may one day request a trade. Or perhaps another club makes the mother of all trade offers, unlikely as it is. If you bothered to read the last couple of pages rather than just the thread title before you post you would see some pretty good discussion on this. Of course everyone wants to retain Jesse and see him reach his full potential. That should go without saying. And FYI, Hogan has not kicked 50 in a season.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
OD how dare you be perfectly reasonable in only 7 words! If Hogan was having 2nd thoughts and a trade with Freo could land us Cerra and pick 5 (or similar) and we could package up 5 and our 2nd rounder for Whitfield, Cogniglio or Shiel, I think we'd have to seriously consider it. Would it improve our list? Yes. Does it fill needs that we currently have? Yes. Is it win/win? Yes- Andrew Gaff
May?- Farewell Jesse Hogan

Got them. Very excited. Unfortunately I will be sitting next to BBO. I pity the others sitting around us, he can get very nasty. Will have the security phone number at the ground on speed dial. Go Dees!- Andrew Gaff
Billings, pass.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
So is Hogan in 14 months- Finals Tickets

Worth remembering the rise in the SC every year. As much as $1mill per year is an outrageous amount to the average punter, the number of players getting this will increase over the next few years. Oliver will get it next contract, easy.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Haven't seen the OTC interview, but seriously folk, did anyone think he'd say anything else? Goody was hardly going to say he's up for trading Hogan in October. It's the start of our first finals in 3279 years and all coaches would state the obvious in this case.- Finals Tickets
That's the booking fee, Uncle. The ticket is $2500. Cash.- Andrew Gaff
Bugger.....- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Really Wise? ??- Farewell Jesse Hogan
There's a lot more emotional outragists on this thread who refuse to even consider the possibility of Hogan playing elsewhere. Reminds me a bit of the Mitch Clark era. I doubt any right minded person wants Hogan to leave, but discussion about our needs and where he fits into that, including the possibility of a trade, should not be dismissed. I'd be disappointed if the club wasn't doing similar.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
We've played some pretty good football without Hogan over the last couple of years, even going back to the win at Kardina Park 3 years ago. We are bigger than any one player, perhaps with exception of Gawn and Oliver. Weid has shown improvement and expectations are that he will continue to do so. I'd prefer to keep Hogan, maybe consider him off half back as others have said. I'm not in the emotional 'keep at all costs' camp as I think we have bigger holes in the midfield that need addressing. I do not see Hogan as the quality midfielder we need to find. Cerra and pick 5 may not improve us now, but they'd sure as hell improve us in the next 4-5 years as we play more finals. Pick 5 could be included in a trade package for a mature player, eg Whitfield or Cogniglio. It's all hypothetical, but I'd bet my house that the club is looking at everything possible
