After all, he loves the club, he loves living in Melbourne and we are on the rise. Gives him certainty during recovery from foot injury and the club would have clarity. I want him to stay, I've posted that repeatedly, but a strong club is more than any one player. No sane person wants to push Jesse out. With his contract coming up in 13 months, wouldn't it be fantastic for him to recommit soon rather than watch it drag on?

Big Max has played a lot of footy this season. Its worth remembering that he's had a number of knee recos and other significant leg injuries. King appears a bust, possibly Flipper too. Will Pedo be on our list next year? We are one knee tweak away from being caught with our rucking pants down. I like the idea of Preuss playing some kpf and some ruck. But as others have said, we will be too tall with 4 big men in the seniors forward line. So does Preuss play at Casey in 2019, or does Weid play there, or are there other factors at play..... ?

Agree. Perhaps Mayes really needs exposure to culture, leadership and standards that he's lacked at Brisbane. After watching Zorko's childish carry on against the Suns and seeing good players leave over the last 5 years, it's no wonder they pulled a geriatric ex-Hawk captain out of retirement
