More time in the gym getting huge for Hoges. Not concerned.
-
If we had Wines last year we would not have won any more games.
-
I reckon we could get more goals out of him. Jones is evasive and has become a good thumping kick. All the mids we have recruited, especially the inside guys, will allow him to get more uncontested footy and kick more goals.

It makes me very happy that none of Salem, JKH and Hunt are injured. It'd be nice if Tyson was fully fit too but you can win it all.
-
Wouldn't mind it. Really hoping we go after a tall defender in the rookie draft. Would prefer a kid we could develop at Casey, but Tippett could be an aim.

School footy

This is the type of recruit that earn recruiters their money. Finding value late in the draft from players that have circumstances that cause them to drop - things like injury or in Hunts case, late physical development.
-
Darcy Hourigan (SA – KPF/KPD) Height: 190cm, Weight: 92kg Pros: Accurate long kick, strong hands, strongly built. Cons: Needs to work on aerobic capacity Get him to play down back at Casey.

Fills a need. Very happy. Guys like Blease and Barry will have to work harder for a spot. -
Quote from Melb website. If you're gonna draft someone with a late pick, it's not a bad idea to draft a late developer. Upside etc.
-
It's fitness. If it was inflammation he wouldn't be training.

Watts has 5cm or more on the premier tall mids in the game but weighs the same or less. He needs put on weight and strength if he wants to be like the other taller midfielders. I saw Josh Kennedy on the street the other day and the bloke is huge.

Will be good for future debt demolitions etc. Seems like a great bloke to have a beer or many with -
Has talent. Cant get 2 rising star nominations without it. IF he can get his mind right and put some bloody weight on, maybe, just maybe, he could turn the corner.
-
any excuse for a whinge
-
Meh, depth player.
-
If anything I think he is slightly overrated. A lot of people rate him on his potential, not his current output. He is very very good for a young KPD, has a terrific tank and work ethic, but REALLY needs to work on his disposal and also get stronger.
-
I only can see us finishing above: StKilda - they are poo Brisbane - player exodus, issues with the board etc GWS - still developing, wont make the Gold Coast leap Western Bulldogs - we have a better backline and forwards, now we are catching up to their midfield Gold Coast, Adelaide, West Coast, Carlton, etc all either have too many prime senior players or ridiculous young talent and will finish above us for that reason.

First International Rules Game this Sunday (20th) from 6:30 a.m.

Even if he was involved... they are overseas during their holidays, playing boring games of fake footy. Bit of a different situation to the regular season of real football. -
I'm interested in him because he sounds like a younger and better version of Terlich. U18 All-Australian defender and Vic Country's MVP. Can apparently play midfield too. The fact that he is Nathan's brother adds 'intangibles', would make his transition into AFL footy much easier.

here we go...
-
Where is this second early twenties pick coming from? For Sylvia, i'm assuming? I highly doubt we'll get that.
-
The money thing is [censored] - we have heaps of room, and he is more likely to get games in our midfield than he is in Carlton's (which means even more money in his pockets). MFCSS
