Elliot's mark will be a deserving winner. Who really cares anyway... he isn't getting robbed as badly as Walker did in 2011. One of the best marks of all time and they couldn't even name it the mark of the year because Krakouer was a 'feel good story'.

I doubt Grimes and Trenners will be captains next year, but they're still the two most prominent figures in the promotional stuff. Wouldn't take too much out of it. Having said that, would be great to keep them on for another year or more (Webjet, that is)

Wonder what the recruiting team thinks of Scharenberg. 190cm, rated right up there, playing down back at the moment but by all reports he is a Goddard-style utility who could (and some say should) make a full time move into the midfield.

Reminds me of Leigh Adams. Shorter, stocky midfielder. Hopefully can get more of the pill. Knows where the goals are too, kicked a very nice one in our last game. Was really happy with the fact that with each game, he seemed to get just a little bit better. No massive leaps, but you could see just by watching that he was figuring out what AFL football is all about. Will be happy to see him and a fit Evans running through our midfield next year.

Because he isn't worth pick 2. There are no guarantees with drafting, but at the very least, a player we take with pick 2 should develop into the level that Scott Selwood currently plays at. At best, pick 2 could develop into Joel Selwood.
