  1. To late, with work etc, and for prime spots, the grand final is during the day so must go ok on the big games
  2. Didnt see, but im assuming : it was intentional, high contact and reckless that seems standard
  3. I would have thought the third tall was brown not Beams?
  4. try under the latest video footage on the afl web page, "jack watts interview" right side of page
  5. You start of claiming it may have even been "sub-standard" then three posts later "some" of his kicks were sub standard, he was given the Kick out duties early on so i think that says how highly rated his kick is, i also noticed that they were kick low long penetrating kicks, give him a game or two to settle, The Gys was kicking at <50% in his first game this year and has been 75> in the last few weeks, and Strauss definitely wasnt sub 50 last night
  6. i think Mckenzie has played to many games, bit early but the Gys has a look at it
  7. havnt seen this? where is it?
  8. 6-Gysberts 5-Rivers 4-Mckenzie 3-green 2-Trengove 1-Scully
  9. Lets not get distracted by how well the team played today guys, this thread is all about the man who tackles Goes by Jordie something?
  10. It was a big moment in the game as well when he took that mark, if he kicked it, was the last nail, i stood up and Yelled YOUR GAWN (as in Essendon) LOVED IT
  11. Another article on Deano, kind of honest from the Sheehan perspective.... going in to put the hard word on Dean : "I called him about the rumour he would fall on his sword shortly, step down from his position as Melbourne coach and hand over to Todd Viney" but seemingly come out quite surprised by the situation at Demonland http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/business-as-usual-for-deadpan-dean-bailey/story-e6frf9jf-1226068266984
  12. Thanks this is exactly IT, Howe has been chosen because he plays this way imo, works hard, leads back and forth, pressure is good, marks etc I think he does alot of the non-negotiable things that make a team
  13. They are still depth, depth is claiming that the player coming in CAN fill the void, depth isnt meant to describe a whole list of non-22, depth is a group of players who can cover injuries, but in our case we have so many we are going beyond depth into "fringe" players etc As stated depth will help top sides not developing sides, as you say we play kids when injuries come
  14. A few people have said that they are (excited) by Howe's debut, i think he could be really good, but i hope that he doesnt take the mark of the century etc, i saw one game of his live and one on telly and hope that he can produce the team things. Im talking pressuring, tackling and chasing I can really see this guy, fingers crossed being a version of Petterd who is prepared to work hard without the ball etc i dont think he has gone for a heap of spectacular grabs at Casey from what i hear also
  15. Cant wait to yell He's GAWN, will be awesome, really hope he lays one tackle haha
  16. yeah i would actually like to see Maric ahead of him, just doesnt do enough, lovely to watch but only see him a couple times a game
  17. Geelong are becoming BIG financially, they make a heap from their home games sell it out every week really and get a much better deal than the Melbourne clubs do
  18. He is our number one tackler (pretty sure he was equal or better than Mcdonald)last year, and can tag... hard at the ball etc
  19. Didnt he say that we wernt "totally hard" enough type thing, what DB defended was that we ALWAYS play in such a way My take was that DB said that we arnt soft, we played strong contested football against the Saints, but didnt follow this up against carlton. So i doubt that he has "skimmed" over this weekends performance as acceptable and hard enough, just that he doesnt think it is a "trait" as such of the MFC as a whole
  20. he also misses Jamar, three loses without the russian will also impact upon Moloneys disposal
  21. Carlton didnt play finals between 02-08 thats 6 years
  22. I like what i have heard about Sanderson, even as a senior assistant
  23. He made some errors last night, that tend to stick in your head, although the Herald sun has his efficiency at 79% I agree he would still be finding format Casey but was forced back early
  24. Exactly, Adelaide didnt turn up and decide they didnt want it etc...thats just how it unfolded due to our good play, to think he has a lack of game plan is silly, i think it is the players inability to do it or any game plan on a weekly basis, they are young and inexperienced
  25. I dont see the point of this? i would have thought you wanted Melbourne supporters/Members to join, asstated their are very few Melbourne/AFL member combinations...why make it so restrictive?
