I think people are looking at this the wrong way. Let's forget "bits and pieces" players - look at what we genuinely need. Then look at the picks we have - as Old55 says they are good. But then look at our list and see where we have a surplus that might be attractive to other club - genuinely good players - and then think what they might get. Now that would be interesting.

Bail, McKenzie and Jetta are as hard as nails. Blease is brave, Tapscott stupidly so. Trengove has never taken a short step and while Howe, Davis and McDonald have not been fully tested I've seen nothing to worry about. Picking players with character means they'll go when it's their turn and in footy that is gold. BP has done that very well I would have thought. I think people are confusing issues here.

Pathetic. Jordie McKenzie fought against the odds all day and deserved to get votes. That he didn't have any mates doesn't mean he shouldn't have been recognized. These blokes get B&F incentives. I hope this stupid decision didn't cost him money.

Without wanting to harp on it the IPB app is nothing like it was. Don't know if this is anything that you can control but under the old system Demonland was very easy to read and post on from iPhone. Not now which is a shame. Great work Andy, I reckon the site looks better than ever (pity that Jordie didn't get a go on the banner but I can live with that, storm in a tea cup really....)

We have the second youngest list in the competition and you're thinking that we should seek improvement? You think that Neeld will want a developing list to get better and won't be happy with a team that finished where we did. Insight. Thanks. I'll think on that.

I'm surprised you've read this forum for so long and haven't picked up on the fact that role players are fine, it's the elite players that set you apart and that is where we are sorely lacking, particularly in the midfield. If you doubt this just look at the decline of teams when their elite players are not replaced, injured or suffer poor form. Brisbane, PA, WB last year (Johnson, Lake, Cooney etc), Adelaide (Edwards, Goodwin, McLeod, Burton) and Saints this year (Hayes, Reiwoldt, Gilbert, Goddard). Look at WC with Cox, Kerr and Glass all playing well. Last to top 4. It's why the loss of Scully is so important and why replacing him with elite potential so critical.
