Fitzy being trailed as a forward to (a) increase his versatility for us in the future or (b) increase his trade value? I hope the former.
-
Rugby State - have to put it on the ground when tackled. Correct AFL rules interpretation would only put Sydney folk off following the game and we can't have that. Nathan Brown should get several weeks for that head high on Parker. Nothing to lose for him to claim severe delayed concussion resulting in him being unable to ride to tackle that broke his leg. They were given some short acting stuff at the beginning but were concerned that if it had lasted longer they may be tested at half time. Agree - [censored] them hard. Tird must be hanging by a very fine thread.

Beat me to it. Bontempelli. Mods. We desperately need a 'dislike' button.

Just waiting for the small group of naysayers here to say "he looks slow" "looks fat" "has done nothing in his first season" "is injury prone" etc etc Most will be over the moon that he us back running and having a kick.
-
I wonder though if this would lead to a self perpetuating spiral.......pay low, can't attract or retain.....pay even less. Etc. After all, that is the premiss behind the salary cap as an equalizer of opportunity. Not sure. Just a thought bubble.

Especially taking into account his knee recos.

Big big news from the big big man Well done Max. We look forward to some poor little bugger on a stepladder trying to reach up to hang a premiership medallion around your neck.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
well, at least we know it won't rain. -
Unlike a certain amoral person who was also given incredible support by MFC then [censored] off down Highway 1. May be feeling a little down in the dumps at abandoning a club on the rise for one that is on the decline.

i couldn't stop laughing when Robbo's came out with his excuse that EFC did have records that they gave to AFL and didn't keep copies. Ox did keep at him but Robbo's was too [censored] to listen to the questions.

I was about to say - when did we last get a trade (or raid) from Collingwood who actually delivered on his promise? I must say, off hand, I can't remember one since the father of that young tall who was supposed to take us apart a couple of weeks ago. (Some doomsayers here had him down for a 10 goal bag as I remember).

Delistings/trades at end of the season
monoccular replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Succession planning is mandatory regardless of where on the "premiership window ladder" a team stands. From his on screen demeanor and behavior, I would probably rate Robbo's "likes" as beer, wine, spirits, and his "dislikes" as consistency and impartiality. I must say I agree - would love to be proven wrong but time is surely running out. -
Yet he has the gall to call label some others as hypocrites!! Pot. Kettle. Robbo Surely it is the club doctor at the club that actually used the stuff, who strangely still appears unscathed by AHPRA (Medical Board successor), who forgot all aspects of medical ethics, especially as espoused in the Helsinki Declaration on Human Medical Experimantation. Bruce needs at make a statement!

I would keep even further from the Bummers fire sale: other than any who may have refused the injections. (Or, unless they are somehow miraculously cleared before trade time.) I was amused at hearing Maxwell on SEN demanding that everything should be dropped immediately. He kept on about a "clean slate" because it has dragged on too long - hey, Nick: who has dragged it out? Mr Hird and his associates of course. They deserve no mercy. Exactly.

If we are going to get deeply into pedantiicism and semantics, it would be fewer (rather than less) syllables. :-)
-
Thanks for that clarification though.

Sounds like more corporate gobbledygook- like the "enhanced game day experience" [censored]. Why do we have to have these unproductive marketing morons dreaming up work for themselves?
-
Robbo is a bloody disgrace. Sounds and looks as if he is drunk on stage. How does someone as professional as Gerald Whatley even bear to appear with him. And congratulations to James Magner for his responses. Well done.

Recent recruiting has been of footballers who are also athletic, rather than athletes who we hope we can teach football. Huge change there. ALL the newbies this year look as if they know the game and can at least kick the ball. Huge change there. The others will move on one way or another. Hypothetical of course, as he couldn't play due to illness, but would a fit on song Fitzy have made a difference. Hypothetically? A point I was trying to make to some of the residual JW haters, and to whichever 'loyal supporter' it was that said (or implied) than Nathan was having a sook. vide supra

Shows the value of keeping, and revealing good records. Eh, Jacques et Bruce?
-
Sounds like Hawtho n will be into him in a big way. Looks a dent size too Let's grab him - though will trust Taylor's superior judgement. Is he indigenous? The first indigenous Senator's name springs to mind.
-
especially if they stay more than a year or so.

Almost a yank, but actually Canadian I think. From a Rugby Union background?
-
Fantastic leadership comment by Jack Trengove " I'll look after him"! Imagine the joy and excitement if both get back fully fit and in form for round 1 2016.

Yes. He had a poor game on Sunday. One of many under the weather. I may have asked you (or another) before - have you ever had to exert yourself with a flu-like illness? Had to focus mentally, let alone physically? Presumably not or you may understand. I strongly suspect were it one or two they would have been replaced but couldn't due to weight of numbers. But over the season if you had to have the ball in someone's hand at a tight moment requiring an accurate well planned pinpoint disposal I would say a poll of posters here would have it in the hands of JW by a large majority - certainly not in the hands of your namesake So, time to move on and get over what was a crap game by many individuals yet a surprisingly competitive overall team effort in the throes of adversity. (I know you will never be happy while a fit JW remains on our list, but really this incessant bagging is frankly boring).
