Do you seriously, even if you did say it in bold type, want us all to believe that Jackson and Rawlings would make these sort of major statements / comments "in the room" in the presence of random people??? If they actually did them our club is in even deeper [censored] than we all think.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
monoccular replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was that at Doglands? Was that the last win there? We're any of our current list playing in our last win at Doglands? -
Bate was traded (or delisted) many years ago.

IMO our players all look better, and bigger, in our jumper rather than the garbage white nonMFC things that the bloody AFL HQ make us wear from time to time.

Now all I can wish for is for Harvey to get caught out doing what he does, sniping, for a totally indefensible reportable offence. One that even the MRP and tribunal cannot ignore.

Just about worst case scenario for Toiges would be a narrow unconvincing win with some sore bodies. It could be confidence sapping struggling to beat a team that really didn't wNt to win.

Perhaps the Tigers still think mistakenly that if they lose they could finish 9th?
-
That is the only way that this will be resolved, so let's hope that happens. What concerns me a bit is what Wayne Carey suggested could happen. Set up some patsy to go out and run riot...maybe "do a Mitchell" and knee a few Tigers to prevent them running next week. So what if he gets caught and misses a few weeks at the start of next season. After all he could serve on or maybe two weeks in the finals, even though he was unlikely to be selected. Some sort of "team penalty" for the following week may be needed (though not sure how it could work...maybe a goal or two head start for their opponents.)

Great to have this bloke (McCartney) at the club

Tony. You will start rumors rolling that "he is off to the Cats", or even that you are a closet Bulldog. -

Sounds a strong character to have handling the younger players. I must say delivers a more convincing message than our senior coach. -

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
monoccular replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ah...,the plot thickens. I was going to say that the selectors said NYET, but now this twist. Maybe we secretly asked permission from the Integrity Commissioner* (LOL) to play games with our team too. *just cannot control my laughter when I read this position as being part of the AFL- 85 replies

The last training session for the year a Krakouer
monoccular replied to Six6Six's topic in Melbourne Demons
. Do you have a part time job writing those "jokes" they have in Christmas Krakoeurs ? -
. And of those it is really only Hunt who could be considered as having "untried and untapped potential".

If we can't rise with the help of Roos and Jackson, who even the most skeptical of our skeptics would agree come from a successful club background, then we are well and truly doomed. How about trusting them (and their associates of course) collectively to make "the right decision" on our list management and see what happens. I am sure they know more than any of us what is going on with Toumpas' body and mind and whether he is worth hanging on to.

How good would it be for both Freo and Norf to "go off the boil" and lose next week.....don't really care to whom, just as long as they lose, badly. The look on Scott's face would be priceless. It would be interesting though to see just how any sporting body (even an organization with genuine integrity, unlike the AFL) could word and enforce a rule limiting the "resting" of players. It would have been far better that they just shut up (hard for them I know) and let these guys flirt with form at their own peril. I bet their betting agency sponsors are truly pi55ed off....not that I care a toss about them either.

And I am sure most if not all of us whose collective negative thoughts are responsible for St. Paul's inability to work his miracles, would gladly join in in concentrating positive thought waves to assist.

Wrong caption. Surely it is Bruce Commentating on Cyrrrrrrrilllllll kicking a goal.

On whom is the onus of proof for allegations of perjury? What is the standard of proof required? Surely most accused in serious criminal matters indulge in at least "a little bit of perjury ", don't they?

Bump picket - no doubt you are following and enjoying his retirement thread. -
Wow. I know some will criticize the delivery, but what a powerful speech. Brought a tear to my eye. Hopefully he will be able to have an ongoing positive input into our club and our players, and they will show him the respect that he had clearly earned over his two years at the club. Ah....list management is just so simple, isn't it....or at least many posters here think it is. I am certain the decision was not made lightly. Now guys, give him a huge send off on Sunday.
