  1. I'd like to apologise ManDee. If in the event I start a thread in the future I will ensure it is titled appropriately. It will be clear, concise and will not include a capitalised "Though". Regards GawwnDawgg
  2. Sorry gentlemen, Refer to urban dictionary: though To add more unecessary words to a sentence....though is not really used for much when coming at the end of an already complete sentence. What up though? When you coming over though? His fit was clean though. Hope this helped.
  3. Absolutely it would. But should probably not sit on AFL stats websites throughout the day while at work. Either way Hogan has been the most interesting "complete" player we have had in a long time. Age/years in the system/structures/inside 50s/score %.....aside, he is in some pretty good company with respect to his first proper year playing AFL.
  4. Jordie McKenzie, Bail, Matt Jones and Terlich were best 22 not long ago. If you adopt that kind of a philosophy about a list, it's not going to improve or grow very much. They were in our 22. However, they definitely were not in our best 22
  5. Settle down not detracting or refuting any of the above assertions. Simply getting round the fact he's having an outstanding year. Extra two years in the system or not, the way the game is currently played and the delivery of Melbourne's inside 50's this is super impressive!
  6. Just out of interest wanted to see how other key forwards who went on to kick a few sausage rolls fared in the first seasons in front of goal: Buddy - 21.13 N Riewoldt - 21.18 (2nd season) J Reiwoldt - 7.3 (Didn't kick over 30 until 3rd year) Plugger - 19.7 Dunstall - 36.27 Fevolution - 26.29 Roughead - 6.5 Pavlich - 14.9 This is mint.
  7. Zaharakis is shite mate! As soon as he has an opponent that is accountable he goes missing and he can't kick further than 45 on a good day.
  8. All for Yarran and Brayshaw has legitimate superstar potential! BUT up and until we have genuine replacements keep them on the list.
  9. His kicking action is mechanical and I'll concede his not our best kick, but I reckon you see Grimesy through the same eyes that I see Rohan Bail. I am all for Howe being creative and if we are ignoring stats, Howe is arguably in our top 3 most valuable players. In terms of his ability, I can't recall a more classy medium sized tall on most lists. Eastern Wood has been lauded as the potential All Aus for that floating half back. I'd love to compare his states with Howe's last year without the same sort of reception from the journos. If he's asking half a million reckon he's worth it personally.
  10. Right. Which lockdown/creative players can fill the void on our list? Long term maybe but short term 223 games of experience between them both is something we need in our back line. In 2010 the guy was touted as potential all Australian. Give Grimes another year or two!
  11. Enlighten me which current Melbourne player doesn't make this same mistake every game?
  12. Little bemused by the bashing of Grimes earlier in the thread. For the games he has been involved in this year he has been more than serviceable: Disposal efficiency 85.9% - this sits well above the top league average. 13th on Melbourne's list for average clangers per game. 3rd for rebounds from 50.
