  1. .... and for Roos it seems.
  2. It would appear at first sight to be a marketing tool for the AFL to be able to promote big games (ie the top 6) in the lead up to finals. Nothing to do with equalization or fairness, but then when did the AFL really ever give a stuff about those alien concepts.
  3. Do you know this or are you reminiscing to the bad old days? Modern coaching involves a lot of "people management" not just tactics and motivation. Whilst I suspect that someone like Neeld would do this, do you know that eg say Goodwin or Beveridge would regularly single out players in front of the group? Big call.
  4. I would agree that any player who has had 12 months out of the game will either be (i) bursting with energy and enthusiasm or (ii) jaded and be slow to get out of the blocks. To name such as a lock in best 22 seems premature. How about at least having a look at training and preseason (can't remember with all the annual changes, is it still Ansett Cup??) form. Still I guess it is all a bit of fun at this stage. Could even speculate on the hidden gem we pick up at pick 57 or whatever debuting and getting BOG and rising star.
  5. The guy obviously had very serious mental health issues before he joined the Toiges but it sounds as if he received little help from the club. Hope he gets some very soon And asking anyone to sign a 'keep your mouth shut'clause is nothing short of bizzare.
  6. LOL Choke.
  7. I do find the word spud offensive when used to describe guys who have made AFL list, unlike the vast majority of us who post here. And by the way, as far as I am aware, Jack only did the tunnel ball thing once, so you are being a bit harsh inferring, perhaps, that he did it time and time again.
  8. Well that makes about as much sense, certainly no less sense, than the original. Or for that matter this: معظم الملصقات أعرف لماذا هذا "التحرك" هنا انتباه الملصقات و "غريب" ل. أوافق على أن أكثر الفواكه أقل احتمالا ولكن نأمل أن المباراة ستكون أفضل اللاعبين إذا المرضى من المفارقات. كيف حزين بالنسبة لنا جميعا.
  9. ManDee - so I needn't feel stupid for not understanding this then? Ruddesque on the waffle meter.
  10. Sorry to query you, but do you seriously think that the AFL will understand, or if they did, admit to, their failings? Or do any penance? Like so many powerful people in powerful institutions, their power has corrupted them and they will just bully their way through life, pandering to and promoting the rich and famous regardless of truth or justice.
  11. I haven't seen him but those who have - are you seeing a late bloomer like James Podsialy? Surely we could only rookie him at best given our draft numbers.
  12. Only a fifth!! OMG what sort of weakling is he ?.? Far too easily satisfied. But in all seriousness, what you report is just fantastic news for our club, both in terms of leadership and further cultural change. A huge cause for optimism, realistically for a change after all our recent false dawns.
  13. Not so sure that WADA rules are as accommodating as that, and anyway, how do you prove intent - ask LW if he meant to evade the test because he was concerned? "No, sir". As I understand WADA rules, avoidance = guilty = maximum penalty as per proven cheats.
  14. For all the criticism of TMC disposal efficiency, he ranks pretty well.
  15. Note - one can win a Norm Smith, and a premiership medallion and not hit targets. But all the better if you do.
  16. Half full, half empty........or fully empty perhaps ?
  17. Then clearly neither can.
  18. OMG . How long have you been following VFL AFL? Are you seriously suggesting <insert antonym of impropriety > at AFL HQ? Without doubt Gil and his spin team will weasel their way out of this cesspit.
  19. One eye does limit horizons.
  20. I suspect that the majority not would agree with the sentiments raised in paragraph 1, though the last phrase may be popular I suspect that the majority agree with the views you expressed in paragraph 2 And, with disappointment, I personally doubt, though I hope I am wrong, that JT9 does get back and play an important role in our progression.
  21. and Colin Sylvia is preparing for his first full preseason after which he will win the Downlow (formerly known as the Brownlow until the AFL allowed Jab to keep his).
  22. Spittoon or a vomit bag from an airline?
  23. Pretty damning stuff in that article.
  24. Fabulous marketing opportunity round 1 - thanks Gil. After all, Essendon deserved it far more than us (you bastard). Good, though Alice in winter is hardly an exhausting game. Easier in fact then travelling to Perth. I still think that a bye after a Darwin game for both teams would be far fairer, but then when was fairness on the AFL's agenda?
