  1. Well at least and at last nobody has H in their best 22.
  2. Well thank goodness he has survived - truly tragic for those who didn't or who were so severely affected. Should he be on Clarrytine? Further - has he shown any signs of having seen a (set shot) kicking coach?
  3. It certainly irks me that the totally uncommitted HL - uncommitted to footy that is though maybe he should be committed - is taking a list spot that anyone could take - I would prefer Grimes, even Terlich who at least gave his best to this narcissistic headless chook.
  4. I think the Sorbent would be a more appropriate place for him. Even though it hurts to to watch my Demons anytime, I cannot go to an EssUndone home game and can't even watch them on TV, whomever they are playing. So can't even watch any footy at all on Anzac Day. Hope they never reach a GF as it would be the first GF in 60+ years that I will not watch.
  5. Some would say that nobody who was mentally fit would take the field
  6. Come on -- all too little too late. Surely most at the club would completely be over him.
  7. I remain confused Is he still on our list? If so, why? Surely a classic definition of list clogger, given not only his lack of commitment but also his antagonism.
  8. Redleg - I think you miss the point. They have already been allowed to rape and pillage yet another draft. "Harsh penalties" next year will mean little. They have had ample time to hit them hard this year but squirmed and deceived and conspired not to, because they didn't want to.
  9. Self help is about right - he wants to help himself, not the team.
  10. He certainly didn't "buy in" to being a member of a club. Contributed nothing and is owed nothing more than the minutiae of his contract. No bonus. No "farewell party", or gold watch Re the Africa trip - did he keep in touch with the club as to his whereabouts? Just thinking of the Whitfield situation and ASADA testers, and them knowing where he was.
  11. The first five words sum up (at least the latter part of) his career, indeed his life. Clearly he wants to blame anyone or anything else for his loss of interest / will to play the game. One moment he wants to play but the big bad Demons won't let him; next minute they are not helping him get over his concussion. Weird stuff. Ironically his super hero, Cassis Clay, had his life ruined by unmanaged concussions: maybe he really does want to emulate him in every way.
  12. HIS type of experience would be of no value to anyone, at least not to any sane person. It has always been all about H first - Collingwood were obviously very glad to move him on. A disruptive egotist. Certainly nowhere close to best 22 now. The club must stand up and defend the case, should he actually be bringing one. Au revoir H !!
  13. So are they redefining their rules re avoiding drug tests? Open season awaits for all who can find somewhere to hide. FAIL, ASADA, FAIL!
  14. Sure Cook turned out to be a poor pick at?13, but was as are tall 17yos a bit speculative. Top dollar for Yarran was a mature aged player with known attributes and known deficiencies
  15. I'll drink to that, (but won't drive after)
  16. Especially such advanced mathematical concepts. Pedantry is always fine. Should be required.
  17. If he can learn from it well and good. At least he didn't go and hide with some Grubby character from ASADA.
  18. Have done so. No reply yet though it is a weekend. Absolutely will not watch or listen to any station / channel that pays him.
  19. Truly hideous.....is your name Gil, trying to force our club out of existence?
  20. Love the reports thanks. Was Ollie maybe looking for a drink? Or the booze bus on Punt Road?
  21. After the warning re derailing threads, this thread has become seriously derailed and has become an Oliver vs Parish thread. Oliver did a very stupid thing that very fortunately, on this occasion, resulted in no physical injury to anyone (or worse). The club and the playing group need to let him know that this is unacceptable, punish / sanction in their appropriate manner, encourage and educate him to avoid a repeat........then get on with improving him as a player and as a person. At his best, he has an enormous amount to contribute Good luck (some may consider it just bad luck that he was caught) won't necessarily repeat - he needs to ensure that it isn't needed. Only he can do that.
  22. And a way for gutless Gil to avoid making a "hard decision" yet again. I really hope that ASADA and WADA dig their heels in this time, and demand the full monty. Not wishing Whitfield harm in a personal way, but sure as hell hoping that ASADA / WADA can really get stuck into the pathetic "leadership" (LOL) of the AFL old boys' club.
  23. I tend to agree As long as we don't have to wear it in the Grand Final ? Would not be impressed were our players made to have their photos wearing their medallions on such an insipid jumper. Maybe Gil could make up a rule on the run (after all, he is an expert at that) that allowed us to switch into the proper jumper for the presentations.
  24. Nathan Buckley:"Eddie. I will be a great coach" :-)
  25. Are you perhaps suggesting a similar program as the former Downlow medalist Jab undertook in his pre Downlow season? ?
