I haven’t had the opportunity to see if he has improved his handballduring his long layoff : certainly would have had plenty of time to work on it. But he is a hard tough player who can kick a long ball. If he gets up to pace he would not be the sort of type one would want to be tagged by. More on the positive side IMO than Bugg. Brad Miller did a massive job on Barry Hall once, and Brent Grgic as I recall may have even had two good games. Watts too. One swallow doth not a summer make What we need are players who can reliably play well, with the great games as bonuses.

Goodwin said something about the scan showing some activity again in the area he had trouble with last time. Not good at all and such a pity that he will (in all probability) not get a chance to renew hostilities with Duckwood.

Came into the game in the last as all others tired. Laid 9 tackles which I am sure is one if the KPIs the coaching staff love. Depending on injuries and Casey form I suspect he will get another go especially on the tighter Kardinia Park.

Exactly, Dom. You beat me to the punch. Still, there are those who just love to see the negatives and just make their judgements on a single poor team performance. It is not as if the mids applied a lot of pressure to those delivering into their forward line.

Yes, the poor guy had a shocker by all accounts - I saw only brief glimpses of the farce But at this time he needs support and encouragement from us all (though not more senior game time in the immediate future). Relentless bagging could shatter him for a long time. Positive feedback is always more constructive than total negativity.
