  1. I will preface by saying that I wasn't able to get to the game nor to see even one moment of TV. Is it time for some biblical reflection? Matthew 13:49-50 "So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, (50) and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. There will indeed be much weeping and gnashing of teeth but is it really the end of the age?? Will Jason Taylor find some gems once again, and will he and Tim Lamb become angels and take out the under performers from among the list and cast them, in the way of true demons, into the furnace of fire? Clearly we need more talent and leg speed, and hopefully will recruit accordingly. Trading in under performers from other clubs to underperform for us hasn't gone at all well in recent years. We desperately need a clear run of injury from the start (Brayshaw, Petracca, Oliver, Viney, and they were our best mids, Petty and Melksham half the season, Bowey, May, Spargo who essentially missed the whole season then Windsor to ice the cake) and as the season seems shot some who need a "rest" to get ready for preseason should be considered now. If we can start the season with a full list of those who will be able to play most of 2025 we will be in a far better shape. I personally don't see us as bottoming out. Some say play all the kids now - but if they are all thrown in the deep end at once will that really help? Sure the likes of K Brown, Woewoden Howes should get more exposure and maybe even Sestan at some stage, but Jefferson whilst tempting could have his development curtailed unless introduced carefully. Has Laurie had the line put through already despite his contractural status? I feel being dropped after his best game was saying something. Just trying to see some possible positives to save my teeth from terminal gnashing. Amen
  2. Why is the word "wetting" censored? Or was it something else? 🤫
  3. Pray tekk me who are the two hard tags?
  4. Mmmm ..... must have been watching a different energetic hard tackling youngster.
  5. Join the queue behind Chandler and Kolt, and maybe Spargo if he recovers fully.
  6. Complete trumps quick, unless by some miracle we get to finals without him. Corrected.
  7. No - they will use Cripps. Immune from prosecution.

    QED
  9. You say Billings and Fullarton will play 2025 = probably at Casey. Cranky - this is a DRAFT review for 2021, not a critique of our trades 2023. And please pray tell how YOU would have handled Brundy and Jordon differently given the midfield we had in 2022. Thanks I don't think they said anything at all about the "5 or 7 dud trades". I don't expect that many will be happy with the trade outcomes, but as per topic most are very happy with the 2021 DRAFTS.

Done. Pressure goal by an underrated pressure player
  11. coincidence some are done as a day case, especially in the morning. Other than his splenic injury he would (if uncomplicated) be back in a week or three. ✔️
  12. It seems that Maysie is already under the knife by some “supporters” here. But a serious question, Little Richard - just what operation, as opposed to R&R, does he need? Certainly NOT a heart ❤️💙 transplant.
  13. I noted this is the announcement today Should we dangle a line as this seems to be a massive weakness in our armamentarium
  14. By giving Windsor a rest, with probably but not certainly only 4 games to go, do you mean not play him at all? Why? VFL is not a rest.
  15. Great question. Clearances weren’t great under Adem either. But this also raises a serious question - what is McQualter’s real role and what changes has he instituted to improve our performance?
  16. I see that Yze was named in the Casey better players What was his role and how did he do? 8 disposal only but 7 tackles I believe.

Win the next 8 thanks. 🏆
  18. What is it in close finishes, though we did come from well behind? Our best is good but our worst is bad. Is that typical of clubs that finish 7th - 14th? I must say we have had the luxury of not taking too much interest in those rankings that past 3 years. What is needed to get more consistency? We do have a classy list of youngsters McVee, Windsor, AMW, JVR, Chandler, maybe Turner, Howes, K Brown, Sestan, and yes Bowey if he can get a clear run at preseason and get over his injury which has impacted him significantly: is it youth and inexperience under pressure that is costing us? I note that it is mathematically possible to reach 7th, if we keep winning, and if we can get 8 on the trot it is 🏆. But when should we look ahead to 2025 and never again play those who will not take us there, including but not exhaustively Billings, McAdam, FullArton?
  19. Desperately needed to be back next week to energise the forward line.. I must have missed something - was he injured?
  20. The AFL, being consistent, forgive Carlton for anything.

From the TV (unwell tonight even before the game) - shocking camera work onFox / Kayo Rivers 6.Oliver 5.Viney 4.Rivers 3.Chandler 2. McVee 1. Gawn Yes, it may seem odd that 3 mids + Max there given that we were beaten in clearances.
  22. Kolt in for Billings. Maybe Woey to the bench with Disco in? Bowey on thin ice I reckon. Anyone see enough of Casey to say Sparrow could get back? Anyone else there knocking down the door? Howes???
  23. Also no talk.
  24. 6;39 to go and the first in the back in a marking contest - of course to GW💰
  25. Maybe sooner than that - next week. No more games for anyone not going into 2025 and beyond NB Billings It was too close to our goal. Great tackle Kozzie ✔️ Question remains - who plays ruck? I don't think that was Goody's choice. But don't let that deter anti Goody sentiment.
