  1. In his few games he looked strong, courageous and a smart footballer. Were the choice mine he would have been the sub in both finals.
  2. I feel so sorry for Tom - he was an important part in our flag, and in us getting as far as we did in 2018. He works hard, is strong and well bulked in the upper body, but has been let down repeatedly by his foot. Now time is against him and sadly I suspect that time will pass him by, though I hope deep down that he will be able to make a big contribution in what will surely be his final season. Thanks Tom.
  3. Yes, it would be great, without risking breaching copyright (ie don’t cut and paste) to get a brief précis on what in particular he needs to come back from. NB knee, calf, thyroid, etc
  4. I thought he had it sewn up in the first quarter. And yes, Johannasen won one which surprised many.
  5. Was Louis' weight and length mentioned anywhere?
  6. I can't remember - was the contract extension before or after his unused sub role v Blues? Strange that - both the extension and his management v Blues. Mystifying really.
  7. I haven’t seen him play other than the odd look at Casey - other than fitness base are he and Kolt vying for the same position? Are there any similarities to Luke Tapscott?
  8. Poor guy hasn’t had any consistent opportunities - injured in his debut, mismatched in his second game and dropped after a pretty good performance in his third. I really hope he is given some consecutive games early in 2024.
  9. I haven't seen Jefferson play in person - what is the Weed analogy based upon, others than being tall and skinny? (and I do understand that very few young talls show the intensity of JVR)
  10. To my eye he looks similar in build to Judd McVee.
  11. Surely that clip is from Linton Street, Moorabbin in the 1960s, the Saints’ then home ground.
  12. Sadly I think by the time this gets to fruition, many of us will be looking down from a great height playing a harp, or trying to suss out what is going on in a very hot place avoiding magma pools.
  13. Many thanks Mr Fence. No serpents today? I heard a rumor that Angus had some sort of scare in a semi competitive drill earlier in the week. Was he doing non contact stuff at all? From your comments, it seems that there could be quite a few selection table late nights at either end of the ground, and quite a few disappointed players running around at Casey. A nice problem to have mind you.
  14. And yet we “only” lost by 7 points. The entire team was flat, and in fact scared that their friend and teammate initially might have been dead, and then may have remained comatose, for the remainder of the first quarter. Absolutely and understandably shell shocked. They actually did well to out score what was mooted in the media as the greatest team of the year with 6 goals 11 points to 5.4 for the rest of the match. Even if Angus was not going to have another of his big finals games, he would have inevitably contributed towards at least a couple more goals than did his replacement, and the flat first quarter may have been even a little less flat. But, inevitably, the AFL have yet again squibbed at making a genuine statement, which they will feign as soon as a “lesser player from a lesser club” actually does make accidental contact with an opponent’s head.
  15. Goffy - yes I believe it was deliberate / intentional but at very least it was reckless / careless which would also have put that piece of 💩out for the finals. But , true to form, the AFL weaseled their way out to appease Collingwood.
  16. But Mr Fence, just think, no infested with serpents 🐍 Maybe just one wishful fantasy - relocate RFC to become the Tassie Tigers 🐅 and then Punt Road will be free 😀
  17. RDN - that sounds rather like a haggis 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  18. Looking forward to listening tomorrow - was busy tonight.
  19. Great work again guys - so much appreciated. How do you feel that our incoming players NB McAdam, Fullerton and maybe Billlings and Tholstrup will impact our forward transition and connection? It has appeared to have been our biggest weakness 2022 & 2023.
  20. Like so many before him (Sylvia, Watts, Morton etc) just one good preseason away from superstardom
  21. I guess there can be career averages and recent form. Ant And then there is disposal efficiency which you don’t quote. Frittata and Melksham don’t count then? And positions don’t matter eg if it was, say, from our top 15, heaven forbid Rivers and Langdon, it would be far less impactful than Petty, Melksham, Frittata (Brown even) all at once. There was no key forward structure left.
  22. “WouldGrundy have done better than a non-utiliesdSchache? Almost definitely.” Absolutely 100% without any shadow of doubt could not have done less - and not blaming Schache at all for that.
  23. Drones anyone?? Sorry, but Josh is still nailed to the bench, never to be released.
  24. Quick …. knee jerk reaction coming from the global leading experts in knee jerk reactions, AFL HQ ….. Weagles need immediate compensation with their choice of any player drafted by another club who originates from ….. Esperance. 😡🙄😮
  25. bluey - you know this for a fact, or speculation, or rumour?
