A good solid thrashing would really be better for us all.
-
Surely he has a hell of a lot of growth both physically and mentally now he is in an elite AFL programme. Now he may or may not make the grade but he has the body and seems to have the drive and attitude. PS is he here yet?🤗
-
I thought on Sunday how dispiriting it must be to play in front of a cheer squad of maybe a dozen scattered fans. I am sure WCW would give him a warm welcome.
-
Swagger is something that he does seem to have already, like JVR, and unlike the Shack and the Weed.
-
Fond memories of #30 defending solidly and kicking down the line. These days he would get repeatedly pinged for “insufficient intent” by the magic mindreaders in fluoro - the old fashioned white maggots never did. Valé

I don't bet of follow odds, but I winder if there has been any change since news that (A) JVR is out and (B) 22 is umpiring. Stats gurus - do we have data on win / loss ratio when that biased #22 is umpiring our games compared to when he is not?

MT64 - they have already lost me. I used to watch multiple games each week on TV, and even attend "neutral" games at the G. No more. Occasionally I watch the end of a game especially if Geelong, Collingwood or Carlton are getting done, but otherwise it is only MFC. I love footy, but hate the AFL especially when they go on about integrity etc. PS - now 2235 Thursday night - didn't even realise that there was a game on tonight. That is how much I despise the organisation known as AFL. But who would educate them? PS - does Nathan Brown update the odds to them during the game??
-
IF he gets a run this season, barring another catastrophic run of injuries, I would be very pleasantly surprised. Casey has a developing ruck - Verrall but a competent back up would be handy. Good to hear - he could try out for MCC Cricket and Lacrosse teams, in his "spare time". And Cowboy Neale played when? The 1960s game was very different, almost unrecognisable, to 2024. "Trained" twice a week that is had a few kicks and ran a few laps before a few beers, and a smoke for some I certainly like his aggression and he seems to like laying heavy tackles too. I hope he can get to the required fitness level. 6 months seems odd, to resettle a player across the continent. Do we know if extension is an option without going to the draft?? As above, love his aggression and tackling - yes I know it is a highlight reel. Already ahead of Schache and possibly FullArton (though I have not seen him in action).

As of 2145 Wednesday there doesn't appear to be anything on our club's website, which if I am looking correctly is pretty poor.
-
Thanks for clarifying. IMVHO Schache and BBB will definitely leave, and as mentioned somewhere earlier despite Tommy's miraculous resurrection I suspect he may want to retire while in the ones and not the twos. Tomlinson, especially if Tom leaves, could well be offered a reprieve. Fullerton I guess will remain as this forum's bunny. If Luker Kentfield shows any development, Fullerton will go lower in the pecking order.
-
I agree. But what is the contract status of both Fullarton and Schache? I thought that they both had over a year to run, yet neither can get a game even in times of need.
-
Didn't see greasy arms though. Kolt and Filthy Luker can combine for our record breaking 2025,6,7,8,9 flags I would be very disappointed were he to go, after starring for us, to Sydney. But in all seriousness, welcome - but be warned that there are posters lurking here who will call you a spud, loser etc if you don't become a superstar within a couple of years.
-
How could you utter that disgusting name? #4💩 suffices And Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble I assume would agree.

"Well know the rule works if Cripps can no longer do 720degree turns while looking to throw dish off a handball" There. Corrected. If you get tackled correctly. One of my big beefs is when guys get ridden into the ground, or have a pile of opponents dive onto them, they get pinged for HTB. Correct tackle should be the KPI, otherwise a free to the guy who makes the play. Every time. .... and the umpires adjudicate that distance estimation so well, don't they? Clarry says "hi". Cripps says "thanks".

When we develop a replacement for McVee in defence. Bowey? AMW?? Howes?? At the moment I wouldn't (and I very much doubt if Goody would) tinker with our defensive unit too much. Judd is one of the keys.
-
McAdam really needs to get his act together before Melksham becomes available. If he does there will be some very nice selection dilemmas. I would think, given that he could justifiably have just retired after he did his ACL towards the twilight of his career, saying thanks for the memories, but instead chose to labour on, he will come back full of fire and enthusiasm in a last bid for that elusive flag. Bring it on Melks. Traeger Park is usually a quite hard surface, though a bit of rain several days out may soften it a little, but it could never (2023 excepted) be regarded as soft.
-
in what position?? warm and dry - last year was an absolutely freak anomaly. Coldest day ever recorded and record rain ifor a June day

Anyone with talent who wants to fit into a defensive system would surely be interested in coming to the Dees. Much as I am absolutely chuffed at TMcD's Lazarus season 2024, I strongly suspect that he will call it a day, as a great servant, at the end of the season. One thing (vide supra) is certain, is that TMcD will not be moving clubs. 90% retiring IMO. Tommo may well see this opening as his golden opportunity to get a permanent (as much as anything in footy is permanent) role in an excitingly dour backline.

Ugly can be truly beautiful - if we keep winning
-
So we just pluck a gun mid out of thin air to allow Tracc to play forward, or pluck a big strong marking KPF out of the even thinner air? Ah ... it is such a simple game. 🤫
-
Interesting that whomever wrote this thinks we may not add anyone at all, given that we are two down already, and have one vacancy. IF there is anyone who fills any of our needs surely we should grab one.
-
kev - we will miss your reports. Enjoy. Was Petty (you said in rehab) running uninhibited?
-
Lackadaisical
-
But where were 😮 Scott's votes for Dangerfield, Selwood and Ablett?
-
Despite his Lazarus like miracle return this year, I would suspect that Tom McDonald may retire at the end of this season. And if Richo likes him, that must be a positive.
