  1. So seriously, what was Tom's time, checked the twitter nothing... bah humbug
  2. For every tolerable drop there are 3 fruit flavoured beers, or it's sold by some [censored] with a Salvador Dali moustache, puts me off, you have to understand NY is hipster heartland, Fitzroy has nothing on it (I really really miss the Napier and Standard Hotels). I will agree about the IPA.
  3. I'm safe as houses, don't do any medical stuff (its high risk procedures like intubation that gets ex pat staff sick) and I'd sooner cut a leg off than wash a dead body (which is chief method of transmission here for locals). The numbers are not going to be disastrous, like the worst case scenario going around 3 months ago, but we haven't broken the transmission chain yet, still undocumented/untracked infections so probably take a year to get zero, been described as a bumpy tail off. There is a danger of it becoming endemic, so we can't take the foot off the pedal yet, so we work xmas, NYD etc which is a bit of a bore. What I do is build stuff, move stuff, and run a few ops for the WFP Logistics Cluster (got to play with the UK navy which was a hill of fun - best time work wise in last 8 years (at least up there with young maronite christian ladies (colleagues) belly dancing on our dinner table in Lebanon). So if Dr's need a place to live in the bush we build it, food needed in affected areas we get it there, organize all the logs for the NGO's and partners and a few other bits and pieces. What I can't get my head around is the orphans, team found a 9mth old baby trying to suckle on her dead mum, we sent UNICEF a message to collect kid were told they'd sent a care team up the next day (baby was with two older siblings <9yo). Anyway turned out they lied, baby died without care about a week later, only found this out because i'd returned to this village. Angry doesn't describe it, keeps me fired up. Can't really load all the pics easily on this site, and it's about footy anyway, PM if you want a link to my pictures - they are happy no sad shots.
  4. Many good points all, I've had beer from about 50 different countries, Australian, Belgian, and Japanese varieties still stand out for me (and even with all the craft brewing, USA still generally sucks (except for a couple from Vermont). And Tassie remains one of my all time best places to take a holiday. Big shout out re Mountain Goat on a Friday in Richmond, that was always a hill of fun. The description of all these ales is killing me though, as I'm stuck with Becks or Carlsberg for the next 4 months (Sierra Leone beer is worse than Bud), anyway enjoy your bbq's. BTW my understanding is that North Tassie drinks Boags and the South, Cascade, once again demonstrating that people from everywhere appreciated his footy as he was definitely a northerner.
  5. I'm partial to Cascade, don't get me wrong, Boags is what it used to be or my taste buds moved on. This bottle brought a smile though.
  6. Must admit, always been a Coopers Red fan (will admit the best beer comes from crow-eater heartland), but this might make me switch...
  7. Bernie Vince, very sad to see his shoulder, hope he doesn't push it, really looks like it needs a lot of work, I know this has been said elsewhere...
  8. I really rate the support staff from Geelong, talked a few times to some of the Costas, their good word on him means a fair bit to me.
  9. As much as i love Bobby on the banner, he looks a bit folorn by himself, like he's looking behind him to see where the support is! ...where the f did everyone go type thing.
  10. When I was between 6 and 8 years old, I remember thinking the Roos and Malcolm Blight were pretty awesome and might have said something to that effect (this was mid to late 70's). Much to the complete disgust of my father and others in our family. Now while I never got a north jumper (am pretty sure grandma dug up a demon (or knitted it herself) top fairly quickly). However I met Robbie Flower for the first time at the Mornington Football Club, holding a training, and that was it-back in the family fold. My point being that kids will come back and are surprisingly more loyal than you would think. That or supporting the MFC is a congenital defect that defies logic.
  11. I got a little excited at 27:38 when he bounced it as well, has toe and skill.
  12. Maybe the Dalai Lama can get rid of the frigging Norm Smith curse... @Ascobar - it's either because the kids are running to fast with it Or I had to much St George and it's still in a nightclub somewhere, and for some reason can't remember the name ...blue something... edit hadn't seen Ascobars post
  13. I've given away Sherrins in both Addis and Nairobi edit... though truth be told they had EnergyWatch written on the side of them...
  14. ^^^^ This ^^^^ is exactly correct. And why I need a bucket when I hear people saying that football is just a business.
  15. Please don't apply common sense, it gets in the way of my emotions.
  16. Simplistic garbage, some, probably the majority, wanted FA, but there are countless examples of the right thing being done between club and player. Boak for instance, and a number of players at Port when it was a basket case, Geelong after a premiership etc.Show me where someone like JT has done anything other than try his guts out even when injured, and i still remember clutch goals and fearsome tackles. Edit, spelling Also: How and Why is JT responsible for the garbage Neeld served up and 186, no demonstrated link has been shown, he's been injured, yet to see a sign that he is scarred. The effort he has put into his rehab has been first class and shows exactly the sort of heart shown by the great players at good clubs. Give him a season.
  17. Furious if the club goes for this, Jack is owed one season by the club to show what he can do injury free. Otherwise this is like us shafting Junior. Trengove has done everything right in terms of attitude and training and i firmly believe he will become a star. Not even for Dangerfield do i want this.
  18. Может все с помощью Google Translate пожалуйста, прекратите ради трахает or in other words just cut and paste this ' ебать ' for emphasis, however I much prefer vittusaatana (spoken phonetically) - anyway who really can pronounce anything written in the cyrillic alphabet. vittusaatana is also much more appropriate for the MFC anyway and I really laugh every time my wife says it.
  19. Some Fish Bone posts are definitely thinking something is on, I got excited for a moment, bit like this, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=63713191206&l=aad99aaa1f but a quick search made me think Ron Burgundy is still on the money.
  20. DC, a fan produced video? whats your point? he can play, he has heart, couldn't kill him with an iron bar, how is it ok for Brett Kirk to be alternative and not HL, it actually makes me think if he says he wants to come hear he might actually mean it.
  21. I'm comfortable with HL, Roos is light years ahead of Buckley in terms of soft skills. And watching HL shepherd Barry Hall for Maxwell shows he's got a big heart (see 50 second mark) pick 23 or 28 not fussed. Vince was supposed to be a problem child, had a great year. Cross was solid for his games, Pederson and Dunn both re-born. Hell he even got a hug from the Dalai Lama, he's practically anointed. And can kick a 65m goal...
