I think cook spent a fair bit of last weeks game in the back line. Not sure why but the week before it was obvious that we had too many big guys in the forward line. That looks to be the case again at Casey. I think there is a very good chance Cook will spend some time in the back line again.

Like your confidence HT I will be happy with 2 points not sure my heart will be but those are the breaks.

I hope it doesn't as well, having seen him at Casey a couple of times I think he is some ways off AFL standard yet. I think a game this early might set him back a bit. However, no Martin and he is probably in for better or worse.

Yes you are allowed to have your own opinion. I thought that was what Demonland was all about. The trouble with some late bloomers WYL is they leave it so late we never get to see it.

Thanks BB I knew someone would find the game I missed. Was on a cruise at the time. Yes I know it is a tough life but someone has to do it. Now back to Bennell so that I do not "bash" him again what would you say constitutes a "good " game for him tomorrow? Not being a smart arse I would just like to know your thoughts.

It is a matter of opinion what constutues "bashing", However if I give my opinion that I do not believe Bennell has what it takes, and you believe it is "bashing", well so be it. As I said before it is only my opinion Right or wrong. Thank you Master.

I live for the day "satyricon". My memory is that Varcoe had the odd good game. I have never seen Bennell play above average. Now I have not seen every game he has played so I may have missed his "good" game. It is only my opinion, right or wrong.

I am glad you see things I don't. My comment is that he has 3 weeks where it is doubtfull we have anyone to take his place. After that we hopefully will have a number of players pushing for a spot. On past and current form would you play him in preference to Trengove, Mckenzie or Scully? Add in Blease and Strauss maybe in a few weeks time. I look forward to seeing something. I have never seen him play a game where I would put him in the top 10 of our players. Bate and Dunn had plenty of games in the earlier years where they were inside the top 10. Just does not do anything for me. Happy to be wrong.

Guys I struggle with Bennell however he can play forward or back so I suppose that gives us something. He has had a number of games now and IMO needs to show more if he is to get a regular spot in the 22. He has IMO three weeks to show he is more than a bit player. In three weeks time we will have Trengove back and hopefully Mckenzie with Scully shortly after that. If he has not shown significant improvement then we should up grade one of the rookies and give them a chance. So I will try not to complain about him for three weeks.

There are two things I am certain we can agree on! If we win we will both be happy and if we lose we will both be sad. The rest is all just opinion. Car'n the DEES

Newton had to come in he is the only viable option as back up Ruckman at present. I agree bate is stiff and how does Bennell get back in after one reasonable game at Casey. Rather have Mcdonald at least he does not get scared running on to the ground. Rivers is obviously still injured!

I believe they have to put a team to the AFL this afternoon. They can include Trengove and take him out later tonight.

C&B I do not believe that North is as bad as you suggest They have had two bad games Pies and Cats ( top two teams ) The only poor team they have played is Port and won that one. They got very close to fremantle and West Coast and they started the season with a lot of injuries. We have had 3 wins against 12th, 13th and the last team, and a belting by Hawks and Eagles I suggest that North have played a lot better sides and had 2 trips to WA. Re confidence. I will have some when the team provides some, we do not have much to crow about at present.

Hell do not get me wrong I hope to be giving you praise for your superior knowledge. I just struggle to see us beating a side we always struggle to beat after all the player losses etc. I will be in the nose bleed section on saturday hoping for the best. AB surely we are past the problem of the cash! I do not think we have any choice but to upgrade Campbell, and why not Evans or Nicholson gives them some extra incentive to play even better with the chance of a game at senior level.
