  1. That quarter was as bad as the last quarter against North. We have truly fallen off the perch. Blown away with the wind.
  2. Playing a side that has been decimated and on the ropes. Plenty to be worried about for us. I hope not and fingers crossed.
  3. I hope GWS are not lulling us into a false sense of security with their outs.
  4. The one match suspension when it should have been two or three with early plea also allows the opportunity for it to be downgraded to a fine.
  5. He should accept and move on. He has a Brownlow anyway. If he appeals and gets off it will be a huge elephant in the room on Brownlow night. And if he wins again it will forever be tainted. The tribunal if clearing him will make a mockery to the justice delivered to every player who has payed the price for such crude tackles.
  6. Thanks to Goddard's idiocy the Essendon percentage is now lower than ours. Every little morsel helps with such a tight finals race.
  7. Makes sense. Except during our four game winning streak were we clawed back into the 8 we have lost games that would have consolidated our position every time.
  8. We have been in the top 8 for most of the season. Missing out will now be a big fail.
  9. Straight after the sling tackle Kreuzer on the ground holds and nurses his wrist with no immediate indications that he is dazed. MRP will seize on that and entertain the possibility that the knock to the wrist could have caused the concussion and give Dangerfield the benefit of the doubt.
  10. This game is a carbon copy of the previous pathetic meetings with North, Freo and Hawthorn. I bet Brisbane are pencilling us in for a win in round 22.
  11. I thought we played well under tough conditions for three quarters. But that last quarter was a disgrace. Expecting the wind to win it for us. They wanted to win more.
  12. So north were tanking? What perfect propaganda to rope a dope us in again for the 17th time. Seriously we make their midfield look like premiership material. Second to the ball, half arsed tackling. WTF were we supposed to sail in with the gale in the last quarter?
  13. Would be better to rest him once Jones is back I would think.
  14. It a been a hard slog in the past two months. Lots of travel, good opposition and short breaks. Be thankful we won more than we lost in that period.
  15. And if we win it will take us to 11 wins and our best win result since 2006.
  16. The snow conditions are very good at the moment and it is around the peak of the season. There is your explanation.
  17. Where is it a rule that a player when he gets the ball must stand up stiff and straight and honour his opponents tackle? There are deliberate ducking's to draw frees as well as positioning to dodge tackles. Jetta did the latter. He charged through and wore it. Brave stuff.
  18. A persistent problem for the last decade has been poor kicking skills. Hibberd and Melksham have made a huge difference in improving that.
  19. Very impressed with Hogan's ground work when the ball went to ground at contests. Won it well and rewarded with three goals. Great to see him improve this aspect of his game.
  20. Hoping for a win and a memorable return for Jack Trengove
  21. I don't care much about ball colour but I am warming to the regular Sunday afternoon games. Keeps the anticipation up all weekend and I don't have to be in a sour mood for the whole weekend after a loss. Win or lose on a Sunday afternoon and I don't dwell on it much as I have to start thinking about putting the rubbish out and dealing with the inevitable work dramas during the week.
  22. Jayden's torp gets it own article in The Age. Amazing, he was kicking into the wind. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/monster-torpedo-goal-from-melbournes-jayden-hunt-was-into-the-wind-20170718-gxdta4.html
  23. Careless rather than intentional. How do they work that one out?
  24. I recall there was a similar a perception in 1987. We had the likes of Grinter, O'Dwyer, Spalding, Yeats and couple more who pushed the limits.
