Posters who doubt the force of even a minor elbow impact should try this experiment. Hold your arm out in front of you locked like giving an elbow and make a fist. Slap with palm of your other hand with reasonable force your fist, forearm and then the elbow. Which slap hurts your hand more?

Those defenders cricked their necks watching the ball sail over their heads.

The tip of the elbow is the sweet spot of any forearm whack. And a whack in the chin reverberates throughout the head transferring all the energy. The full energy of the perpetrators arm, body and shoulder strength focuses down to the tip of the elbow which is solid bone with no muscle padding. So a teeny weeny amount of contact will transfer maximum force. Not much different to being tapped with a hammer on the chin. Try it.

Thise NT supporters are a bunch of ingrates. Most follow the SA or WA teams. No co-incidence we mostly play them over there. And those clubs would never sacrifice a high attendance home game to play over there. I look forward to when the begging bowl fixtures for us are rid of once and for all.

Reviewed the Hurn/Viney incident several times and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Both players were courageous and going for the ball. Hurn just got there a fraction quicker with his hand. If Viney gets suspended then time for the mob to descend on AFL House and burn it down.

That was no staging. Anyone who's copped an elbow or dished one out knows it just takes a' clip' to stun.

I think the kind of marshalling and leadership he brings is something that's been sorely lacking for over over a decade. For that reason alone he has been invaluable.

Was saying even before their first loss that Adelaide were soft front runners. First sign of real pressure and they crumble with no fightback. Hawks when on can still apply master class pressure.

Good article on Hibberd's non season and transition to the Dee's. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/footy-mattered-to-me-more-than-i-thought-michael-hibberd-on-being-back-from-the-ban-20170622-gww7ac.html

Got a write up in The Age also. The noteriety will make him more of a target. I hope the WC players find him a distraction as well. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/giant-mural-of-melbourne-footballer-tomas-bugg-appears-in-hosier-lane-20170622-gwwa9t.html

Thats what I call trashing the brand. The game is great, why introduce an inferior product?
-
The only way to see if he still has anything. Deserves a chance due to form and he can play inside.
-
Wondering about that one. Easily the most controversial non suspension of this weeks MRP meeting and the most newsworthy.
-
McLachlan said superstar players deserve maximum rewards. So there's a chance Dustin Martin will score the lions share of that 20% for which ever clubs he signs for. I can see some bad blood in the future.
-
Not just Burke but all of them. Perhaps MRP should be comprised of former umpires who are well compensated? They are less conflicted with supporting teams and after all umpires are the ones applying the rules on the field.
-
I recommend you take some kaopectate.
-
Seriously there must be some rule of law shakeup introduced with the MRP. Needs people that can actually apply the rules as written and intended rather than conflicted amateurs who obviously play favourites.

Sorry, Salem does not sound like Selwood. Case closed.
-
Schwab would have made them front up to a shaming press conference.
-
Whatever Bugg did, it certainly got under Easton-Wood's skin. That will have to be the worst game I've seen him play.
-
Bulldogs posters on BF flapping about like headless chooks. I thought we were bad after a loss but those guys are mental.
-
Can't work out why I feel so high. Haven't smoked the weedy stuff for over a decade.

Melksham was very good today. Played well on that guy with the poodle hairdo.
