I'd go for Mitch White to be upgraded, but there no rush ,give White Michie and Wagner a few weeks to see who has the best block of form.

Half back flank or back pocket is his position but there are a few ahead of him in Jetta, Bugg and Salem, with White and Wagner being groomed and Melksham putting more pressure on next season.

The media have been saying all day that Jesse handled it poorly, and should have been more gracious. I really can't stand the football media in this town.....biggest bunch of richeous, egotistical, negative twits of all time. i loved the good old days of guys like Alf Potter and Harry Beitzel and co who's love of footy came first,these days you'd swear they were trying to put people off it.

I don't mind media commentators talking about someone's kicking action, but I thought the Ox went way over the top in mentioning that he could get $400k less if he doesn't fix it up soon etc. etc. Jesse was entitled to be a bit miffed about that.

I wish the Ox would just drop on his head......Jesse quite rightly pointed out that he had a better goal kicking average than Schwarz. if you're a Melbourne supporter, why give grief to the club and its players....just give the kid a fair go.

Only a select few impressed me this much this early.......Flower, Schwarz,Jakovich,Farmer,and Hogan. I reckon this kid will be a star.

He seems really happy at Melbourne too.......the clubs done a great job in making him welcome and comfortable at the Dees. He was in a bad place at Carlton, so his mental state probably has a lot to do with the football he is now playing.

The main difference besides being more attacking, has been the manic pressure we are putting on the opposition and forcing turnovers. Every player is on the same page and absolutely giving it their all when chasing to tackle .

Looks like the penny has finally dropped for Watts, his contested work was sensational. Oliver is a genuine superstar in the making. Garlett gives us another dimension Harmes continues to impress and make claims for round one. New boys Bugg and Kennedy are fitting in nicely. i know it's only pre season, but have we finally arrived as a decent side? looks like the dark days are in the past now. go you bloody beautiful Demons!

The sooner we get out of there the better , playing in that heat twice a year ,and forgoing home games in Melbourne, could be the difference between winning an extra game or two.

People keep mentioning all the Bulldog players that were out. we had , Hogan Dawes Lumumba Brayshaw Petracca Stretch Melksham jkh Trengove Neal bullen Spencer Weideman out as well , not all world beaters but a pretty handy lot
