I think he moves a lot like Fyfe and his running gait is very much like Flowers not saying he will be anything like them skills wise and has a long way to go but has great attributes fair enough if you don't rate him but I think he will be something special just an opinion and I'm entitled to it

Talking about a first year player and who he moves like mate
-
Michie for Salem maybe
-
Hunt looks like cross between Flower and Fyfe , could be scary good in a couple of seasons

Our main deficiency and something I've suspected got a while, which was evident again in the St Kilda game is genuine leg speed and outside run. Kent and Garlett are good but they play up forward . It's more needed in our midfield mix.

Players who always fire a shot against Melbourne
DeeZee replied to Soidee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nobby Clarke -
I don't really get what we are trying to do with our defence . It looks like some sort of zone but when Jetta ends up matching one on one with Riewoldt something's not quite right. You could see the ball coming in from their long kick outs to the wing and the Stkilda forwards starting to run towards goal but none of our guys went with them. Really hope they can sort this out as it was very painful to watch. I could see it happening in the first quarter but nothing changed all day. sometimes I wonder about the coaches role. the only change I saw was Pederson and Dunn swapping roles, but still no one really ran with Riewoldt or stood with Membrey.

We came out all guns blazing and looked good the first ten minutes. But once they got a few out the back and with our defence so poor I think they gained a lot of confidence and lifted their work rate. Just like the Bombers game we were killed on the outside and had no decent back men to stop them marking inside fifty. That would have to go down as one of the worst performances by our backline in a while.

If North and Dogs are 2 best teams in it ...
DeeZee replied to whers_jacka_now's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watching those two sides making mistake after mistake, gives me a lot of belief about our team and how good we could possibly be. -
Love Jeffy, he brings so much excitement and pace to the team, and is in sizzling form . Looks very happy at Melbourne.

A terrific story has just come to light about a young boy from Hobart with muscular dystrophy who follows the Demons ,and Petracca ,when he saw him at training took hm around to all the boys and took him on a tour of aami park had lunch with the boys and got Hogan to autograph a pair of his boots to give to him. Doesnt stop there as Petracca became friends with the lad on social media and kept in touch and got him a room pass when we played North in Tassie. Not long after Petracca was picked to play against the saints ,one of the first things he did was pay for two tickets ,with his own money,to fly the boy and his dad over for the game. Brings a tear to the eye. Talk about recruiting guys with character....what an absolute legend!

Why did they just rest him if they weren't going to play Oliver the following week? Shouldn't he have played at Casey? Unless he had some soreness or a tiny niggle.
-
No one has said he is our Saviour. haven't seen that written or said anywhere. People are just excited to finally see him debut as he comes with big wraps.

Can't wait I'll be there with bells on!

Who's our best chance to win the Rising Star in 2016?
DeeZee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's too early to tell but we will know in about eight weeks time. As good as I think Oliver is, and he is a gun, my feeling is that Petracca will take the competition by storm. -
Looks like we have two potential All Australians this year if this form keeps up.

Been very good since being back in the team. You always know what your going to get with Dunny plus he has that weapon of a huge kick which has got us out of trouble on many occasions. Normally quite vocal out there, but has been uncharacteristically quiet lately Whether it has anything to do with being left out of the leadership group is anyone's guess, but he has been solid.

An in form Tyson is critical to our success Different type to Viney and Jones Very clever and compliments them Great hands and kicks goals, will get better and better
-
Sure that was good, but you have to do more than one or two good things a game to get a regular spot in this team, especially with the depth of talent knocking on the door.

I just don't think Frost is doing enough at the moment for a bloke his size, probably will be a player but not there just yet. Pederson at least is good in the Ruck ,takes some good marks and has good goal sense. Petracca for Frost and I reckon we will see double the output at least. Brayshaw still doesn't look fit, so a rested Oliver should give us extra grunt.

As we've all said for years it all starts in the midfield. Viney is now Elite Gawn is close to if not the best Ruck in the competition. Tyson is a very clever complimentary type to the the other two going to be Elite Bulls in Oliver and Petracca Vince and Jones are almost icing on the cake. Kent is a Gem Hogan doesn't have to kick a bag every week as Jeffy is in stellar form and responsible for five or six goals every week. Watts has arrived, and we keep finding them in Wagner and Hunt, big bodies who can run. Hats off to the recruiters and coaches, who have built this team that has only really just been born. We now have a good ten years to sit back and watch this exciting group ,to finally give us the Joy we deserve ,and to bring back the love of football to the Demon faithful.

Thank you Paul Roos and Peter Jackson, you have set us on the right path.
-
Don't you just love Jeffy? Really Glad Tyson showed why he is an important part of the team tonight. Kents very important too, love what he adds to the group. Imagine Oliver and Petracca in this team
