A. We are the Saints bunnies B.We haven't beaten anyone good this year yet. C. We are not good enough to beat hard working teams like the Saints yet.

I'm not sure bringing Brayshaw in for Stretch is a good move . He has hardly had a solid block of form coming in. Stretchys pace would have been handy on Etihad on one StKildas damaging smalls. Hope I'm proven wrong.

A mate of mine is a teacher and tennis coach at Brighton grammar and knows a few of the boys quite well, namely Hunt, Watts, Dawes and Salem. Says Hunt was exceptional at tennis and is a very switched on A grade bloke. Had nothing but praise for all our Brighton boys really, as far as good character goes. I love how Hunt takes the game on, very exciting and brings a lot to the team.

Having a poor year, not someone I'd like to target.

Hand balling to a guy under severe pressure then causing a turnover rather than kickng it inside fifty and having a chance at a shot on goal seems to be our biggest problem. Dawes isn't the answer, Pedo or Hullet are much better options, but once Weideman starts getting games and developing his body, Salem and Brayshaw come back in and another pre season into Oliver, we will win games like this.

Good thing about Jack is that he is providing a consistent effort, unlike say a Kennedy who is hot one week cold the next.
-
Your appraisal of Watts was less than flattering yet you gave him votes? Upon closer inspection ill accept the Hogan one.
-
Poor judge Joeboy ,Watts was clearly one of our best. Hogans work rate was poor .

Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?

Trengove and Lachie Neale were best mates as juniors. -
Watts form This year hasn't surprised me. Always knew he had it in him once he got some bulk in his body and the right coaching. Always had elite skills. I think time with McCartney has helped Jack a lot, especially with his contested work. 2016 Jack Watts is an integral part of the team.

Where there is smoke. This could actually be happening.

Got a feeling Grimes will come in for someone, as they rested him for the last quarter at Casey, not sure who yet, they may rest one of the youngsters.
-
Shouldn't really change a team where we didn't have a bad player I feel we also finally have the balance right. They can rest during the bye
-
He is on way to 40 goals , already kicked 20 before the halfway mark
-
I wouldn't agree with Jacks output being at minimum levels, I think he has been a lot better than that.
-
Another stellar game by Wattsy on the weekend, will just get better year after year as his body gets more hardened
-
Petracca did a few magical things yesterday that had me bloody excited about what sort of player he could become. That instinctive quick inside out spin and goal and the bicycle kick off the ground while on his back to Gawn for another goal were really fast thinking. He is more than just a contested beast
-
He doesn't need to get a heap of it, but he more often than not gets the contest going our way
-
Maybe

I think it's as simple as Jeffy just doesn't play well in the wet. He likes to use his pace to run on top of the ground so when his main weapon is taken from him he struggles a bit
-
His strengths are kicking for goal but not Markng? He isn't going to get too many shots at goal if he can't mark now will he? The point of this thread is that we are in need of a Forward Ruck type , and if Dawes could do it , then it would add value to the team. I also highlighted Watts doing relief ruck work and he is smaller and slighter than Dawes, so if Watts can do it , why can't Dawes?
-
I just think Pederson plays the role better. He is a good mark ,always snaffles a goal or two and plays in the ruck. I think Dawes gets the benefit of the doubt this week because it was wet but he needs to perform against the Pies
-
Looking at Wattsy performing admirably in the ruck the last two weeks and Pederson used as second ruck when he is in the side , I just wonder why Dawes can't to the same? He faced the same problem at Collingwood before he left , where his form was fairly ordinary and wouldn't Ruck when they were desperate for a Ruck/ forward ,as we are right now. Deja Vu?

What's up with Lumumbas concussion? 4 weeks seems a long time out.

Just a few skill errors in the end a bit of luck to Hawthorn with kicks off the ground and umpires decisions . Proud of the effort in the middle without Viney
