  1. That's crap no way there weren't at least 2 or 3 seats available in better positions. I must've just lucked out was getting pretty nervous there for a while.
  2. That sucks mate - I was on my phone from 850 and PC from 855. Got through on PC quicker this time about 910/915. Managed to get 9 tickets M21 row B. Did you get guest passes or all with AFL memberships? If you got guest passes I think they were only available on level 4 so may be why you were allocated those seats?
  3. How many sold for pies/GWS? Considering AFL members haven't gone on sale yet (around 23k) and MCC only sell about a third(?) of their seats pre sale that means it's probably about the same as last week.
  4. We walked past it about 2 bays over as we were leaving. Heard a massive roar and looked over to see what was happening - The Wiz once again putting on a show. I had to explain to my 5yo who Jeff Farmer was, gonna rip out the Dynamic Demons 2000 video for him to educate himself.
  5. That's because you already used your barcode to buy tickets on the phone
  6. M = ground N = level 2 P = level 3 Q = level 4
  7. Wiser words never spoken
  8. If you clean that hat, I will find you. And I will kill you.
  9. Loved him since his first game against the Swans. Tough and skillful player, I'd love to see him push forward more, he had a couple of opportunities to score on Friday that he would usually gobble up a little bit more composure and he would've snagged both of them. Clearly a favourite of Roos as well. Amazing what a guy can achieve when he has a clean run at it.
  10. My golf experience is limited to minigolf but I give it a decent crack
  11. I left out a hole in one, I guess that would be the flag ?
  12. Agreed mate, before the season I had making 2nd week of finals as par. Last year making finals was par and we shot a bogey, this year we've made par as far as I'm concerned so if we hit a birdie or an eagle it's all bonus for me (I'm a golf novice so if I've muddled up my terms forgive me). Weed has been a revelation for me, I didn't necessarily doubt him I just wanted to see it before I believed it. I did have lingering concerns he may be another Watts or even Lucas Cook but those have been violently laid to rest. What do we do next year when TMac, Weed and Hogan are all fit? Send TMac back? A nice problem to have.
  13. No such mfcss here haha I'm cured ?
  14. Love to see him snag an early goal ala his old man in 87 EF
  15. Viney starting on the bench - the roar when he comes on will be special
  16. People were saying this about Brisbane 2 or 3 years ago, they've got themselves into a decent position now. The Gold Coast will be fine long term and the comp will be better for it
  17. The introductory of free agency was completely bungled. What they should have done; - Increase rookie contracts to a 2+1+1 with yearly club options on players from year 2 to year 4 - Reduce the salary cap floor - Players become restricted free agents after their 4 year rookie contract - Players become unrestricted free agents after 6 years in the system (not necessarily with the one club) - Clubs own players contracts and have the ability to trade contracted players without their consent - Harder policing of the salary cap and 3rd party payments - I've seen it suggested Tom Lynch's sister has been recruited by the Tigers AFLW side and been nicely remunerated for it - Consideration could have been given to "franchise tags" Too much was given to the AFLPA and now the AFL will be pushing [censored] uphill to try and give any power back to the clubs. Possibly with a large salary cap increase at the next negotiations the players might be willing to give something back.
  18. Our first pick is going to the Crows so the further back it is the funnier it gets.
  19. Free agency was introduced to allow players with tenure to be able to move to their club of choice without impediment. It had nothing to do with equalisation.
  20. He was given a directive to be tough on the players, that much was obvious. He went too far (or too hard too early in Sheahans words) but I wonder if part of that was because it didn't really come naturally to him and he was acting out how he thought he was expected to act. To be honest thinking about that time just makes me feel sick, I'd rather let sleeping dogs lie.
  21. My favourite part was when he got kicked out of a Yoga retreat in Ko Samui the day after being sacked as Melbourne coach.
  22. That must be what impressed Schwab so much in his interviews. "I have no idea what he's saying, he's a genius"
  23. Our game will definitely be the following Friday should we win. Collingwood has to play in Perth Saturday night, if they lose they're not going to back up the following Friday when they could be scheduled on the Saturday.
  24. 10 in 25 would be better
