  1. Now, I want to know why you haven't changed your avatar yet, mate? Think it might be the reason why we lost it today. ?
  2. Thank you, Demonland. You always make me feel better after a loss. It's been a real rollercoaster this year and as much as today was embarrassing, the season overall was a success. I just hope we can take these lessons into 2019 and continue to improve.
  3. That article is [censored] brilliant. Makes sitting in the Qantas Lounge for how ever many hours more a bit more bearable.
  4. Strange, strange, strange post. Not unusual for you though mate. I disagree.
  5. Game plan will be tweaked a bit I'm sure. You can't afford to stand still in this competition, but this is a reactionary call. Our forwards didn't tackle, our midfielders didn't tackle and we let their mids walk the footy inside 50. Terrible effort and no team would have won today with our work rate and intensity.
  6. Agree with this. He was shocking, but neither Lewis or Jones should be consistent best 22 next year. Because they aren't. Jones is worse IMO and the time for him to step down as captain is now warranted.
  7. It is pretty heinous.
  8. Seriously though. Could you see a Clarkson side or even Geelong dish this up? So very Melbourne. I didn't expect us to win, but I was hoping we'd kick a [censored] goal before half time.
  9. Way to [censored] [censored] on your supporter base, Melbourne. What an embarrassing quarter. Totally overawed by the occasion.
  10. Who would have thought we'd be saying Richmond lack a Plan B? That's why I reckon our game style holds up better than theirs, because Richmond don't win clearance. When their pressure was matched, they had nowhere to go. I think we're the only team that can beat Collingwood. I'm not sure we can get past these Eagles muppets though.
  11. Was up at 5.45 this morning and on the 7.40 to Adelaide. Spent the day here checking out the very boring town I was born in and the sis is meeting us tonight. We head off to Perth from here tomorrow morning at 7ish and head out on the 12.30am red eye tomorrow night. Was already exhausted going into this and Sunday morning I am going to be truly zonked. I hope those redlegs make it worth our while. Driving through Norwood we found this hanging. Is this a good omen?
  12. I'm sure we wouldn't be the only ones to offer him a contract...
  13. I was really hoping the Toumpas drafting decision might somehow come to light in this article. Who overruled who? Was it Neeld who overruled Viney or vice versa? He certainly never seemed like a player Viney would select. Does anyone actually know the answer to this?
  14. Not to keep digressing, but certainly that embarrassing 148 point loss to a drugged up Essendon outfit, was in hindsight, the loss we had to have to be rid of Neeld. ?
  15. Knew he was a fellow East Bentleighian, but didn't realise the Beveridge connection. Makes sense though. Taylor is a wonderful asset.
  16. Channel 7 got it right today but Sky News got it wrong. 21st Century journalism...
  17. Surely Ethan is the Town Idiot™?
  18. Certainly would offer us something that we don't have a great deal of - breakaway speed from the stoppages. Would love playing under Max, that's for sure.
  19. Cried all the way through it. ❤❤❤ We've been through a shitload. Come on demons. Make us proud this weekend.
  20. I have no idea what you're talking about Biffboy, but that's not unusual.
  21. We're going early tomorrow morning and spending the day in Adelaide, before flying into Perth on Saturday morning. Not confident, but hoping we can put up a good fight.
  22. Haha, HH. Youse are funnys.
  23. Absolutely no way Hannan goes out. Hannan's run was vital last time out against West Coast. He'll worry McGovern. I think we are in agreement that there'll be no change, however... If there were to be a change, I presume our coaches love for Smith is based on his tackling and closing speed, as they're his only elite traits. His marking is a bit iffy and his kicking is ordinary. But I'd say given the love for him, they're more likely to bring in an inexperienced Smith and release Fritsch up the wing as others have stated, rather than bring in an inexperienced player like JKH, who has shown no elite trait himself. I don't think we can carry JKH in a final. In this scenario, Fritsch's fumbling in defence is replaced with Smith's, but we get Fritsch's superior ball use replacing Tyson on the wing. And instead of having Fritsch and Tyson being played out of position, we maximise Fritsch's assets and potentially tidy up our defence.
