Changes vs Swans R4
Ok. I didn't see that, BUT... he's been poor all this season thus far. Coming off the back of his toe issues. I say leave him out this week, for the sake of getting has physical issues sorted, for the next round and the rest of the season. let them settle down. You can tell i'm a cautious type when it comes to real injuries. I would rather give them the 'extra-week scenario', than rush them in, because it seems to me that whenever we rush players back in to play early, there is ongoing ramifications to the injury. We don't need to be too tall forward this week and its a monty that Preuss will come in. Let him and Weide have the front half, and drop TMc out. Lets go in small and quick, other than Preuss. Bring in Stretch, Chandler, and maybe even Spargo We need to control the ground ball at the SCG.

I think 6 - 8 weeks. When Hannan, Lever and May, But IF we're already dusted by their return, I hope the club lengthens their return dates, to make bloody sure they are all 150% healthy. Because we'll be needing each and every one of them, being totally right in 2020.

Cap tan Fitz', was on board the AFL, back then... they control all they want to. We are a soft target, for all-conquering commissions.

Injury List - Season 2019
I think Spargo would be helpful at the SCG. #edit: I hope they do Not play TMc this week... rest him Ffs. We do not need that high-endurance run on the bloody SCG. So ANB and TMc can rest a week. But a bit of punch off the mark, wouldn't go astray... - Sparrow. Chandler,

Tanking scandal documents
Doesn't anyone remember the Kreuzer Cup season. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Kreuzer "Noted for possessing a level of agility and endurance unusual for a player of his size, Kreuzer was widely expected to be selected early in the 2007 AFL Draft.[1] He was selected by Carlton with its priority draft pick (No. 1 overall) in the draft;[2] Carlton received that draft pick only after losing its final round match against Melbourne in 2007, a controversial match which became known as the Kreuzer Cup. " https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/kreuzer-cup-stigma-remains-for-carlton/news-story/c98291bb85959e6e6f5bfa080b0dd3eb?sv=100af2de32c599b3d67b3503a0111f1b 'Kreuzer Cup' stigma remains for Carlton Mark Stevens, HeraldSun November 1, 2012 12:00am "IF Andrew Demetriou is adamant any tanking "cold case" can be reopened at any time, then Carlton would be most nervous. The stigma of the "Kreuzer Cup" in the final round of 2007, and the lame matches leading into it, just won't go away for the Blues. They lost 10 matches in a row, ensuring they snared Matthew Kreuzer and had another early pick to nab Chris Judd, and assistant coach Tony Liberatore caused screaming headlines early the next season after an interview on The Footy Show. Liberatore said he had never heard a directive from above for the Blues to deliberately to tank games, but said he could "feel it". He said there were even jokes made among coaching staff. "We wouldn't use those words (how do we lose), but another assistant coach would say, 'Tanks very much', or something along those lines in a jocular way," he said. He added that he believed coaches from both sides had laid low in the Round 22 Carlton-Melbourne clash that would become known as the "Kreuzer Cup". "In all honesty I think both coaches tried to lose it," he said. They were extraordinary comments at the time ... even more extraordinary when you re-visit them in the current climate. Yet, in an era before a fully fledged integrity department, the investigation was limited." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priority_draft_pick#Tanking Don't forget to put a 'Tiger in your Tank' . Caro Wilson. ... the Tigers were involved in the Kreuzer Cup seasonal fiasco's... ending up with your captain, tCotchin. https://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/afl/tigers-winners-in-kreuzer-cup/news-story/0089707cdcc5e1ff656bb563948a3188?sv=4facd80a9da8638daaba56d190fd7e50 Tigers winners in Kreuzer Cup FORGET the debate about Jack Watts and Nic Naitanui. That's done and dusted. But there's another elephant in the room of overlooked No.1 picks -- a kid called Trent Cotchin. When Carlton lost to Melbourne at the MCG late in season 2007 the Blues wept tears of the crocodile kind. The loss meant they had secured a priority selection to snare Matthew Kreuzer with the opening pick of the national draft. Changes vs Swans R4
I'm not sure that's his fitness base, 'dmnc'. I think he's to sore to run normally... guessing, as I heard he was jabbed in the ankle, or foot, or toe, on this weekend past. ??? https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-03-07/stars-set-to-play-for-casey-with-may-to-play-jlt I agree with you Re Viney and Jones, and I think the fact they played in Casey's practice match, instead of our senior JLT match. This business of pushing players to play coming off injuries is causing us major issues, Gawn coming back to early a couple of seasons ago backfired. Viney continuing to play thru the Plantar Fascia injury caused issues, and then he came back far too soon. Now maybe a chronic foot ??? Tmc's toe injury as well last year, and now he's got ongoing issues... and they're claiming he has ankle problems ? I am having big trouble believing anything that comes out of the AFL clubs, and their media connections. They have Zero integrity IMO.

Our Recruiting.
May was needed, and was worth around a top 10 pick.

Dees honesty session.
I think KK needs gametime and build his match-fitness as well. I would give KK a Swans H/F to mind, and I would have Salem start on a wing pushing back as sweeper helping out defence.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
I think he can make a very handy R/R. who kicks goals. A sort of Goodes style.

ROUND 4 2006 - Melbourne v Sydney at the SCG
They have, and they needed it... but its getting slowly to the point of ending IMO, because they are finding more and more talented kids coming from NSW. I think inside 10 Yrs should see the COLA go from their subsidies. It seems the game is growing up there. I hope.

Changes vs Swans R4
TMc's better as a centreline player, and pushing forward from there. Even if he starts on the h.f.flank and pushes up to wing and attacks from there. We need his run and marking thru the middle. Hell, I'd be happy to start him in the pivot.

Bartel on Brisbane's defence (and Melbourne's)
and runners, as well, 'AF'.

Bartel on Brisbane's defence (and Melbourne's)
that Ol' dog... a dee, a hawk, and now a lion. I wonder how many new-tricks he's learnt, since.
-
Bartel on Brisbane's defence (and Melbourne's)
I tend to agree with this... especially with TMc's foot issues, and the reduced Klms covered. Put him back. ... and TMc could play the intercept role, for the other 2 defenders. until Lever is back.

What is wrong with Michael Hibberd?
... so many bone issues in our players. thanks Misso.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Its not the 2 picks 'BBP'. It's the player we didn't get, from the other pick... that the Crows did get. When we give 2 top picks for one mature player, we lose the opportunity to find the more skilled player types, that we need. I wouldn't have cared if we gave One 1st Rnd pick, and a 2nd Rnd'r, and a 4th Rnd pick. If we still had that 1st Rnd pick from the lever deal, we might well now have Dylan Shiel or other top player... as well as May.

ROUND 4 2006 - Melbourne v Sydney at the SCG
Well, they've been busy with us Demons, the past few years... because of our failures to become a strong independent club. We have failed to prosper this club for the past 50+ Years. That is our fault at board levels. And we still do not have our own training base and Social facilities... because we are like an ectopic pregnancy of the Mcc... who has never looked after Our interests.

Box Hill Hawks v Casey Demons - VFL Round 1
I would bring in Petty to play on Bud. I would play frost from a wing to play out in-front of Bud when Bud comes up-field, then Petty can drop off Bud, and zone. I would play our nippy smalls on our wings. They have to work hard both ways. I would play Preuss and Gawn rortating f5rom the forward pocket, taking the heat off the Weide. Ffs, put Tracca in the middle.

Our Recruiting.
Within 3 Yrs time_ we will be behind Carlton's list, On-field. And on ladder... unless we get our act together now.... Re our shopping methods. Apart from Oli we have no Agrace mids With Brayshaw more B+... because of his kicking effectiveness. he is too wayward.
