WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN
jnrmac replied to Little Richard's topic in Melbourne Demons
And reportedly pick 13 for Caddy.. I like the fact Neeld isn;t going to sit back and wait for development to come but aggressively use the trade period to change the make up the playing list. COuld be a very interesting few weeks. -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JESSE HOGAN

According to The AGE 11.08am GWS has played a role in the complex deal which has sent Jack Viney to Melbourne for only a second round draft pick. Gold Coast traded its pick two to GWS for pre-listed 16-year-old Jack Martin, meaning they did not bid for Viney. Michael Gleeson reports that Melbourne has traded its pick three to GWS for WA pre-listed key position star Jesse Hogan. Neither Martin or Hogan will be able to play in 2013, as they are too young, but both are extremely highly-rated. This morning's dealings leave GWS with picks 1,2 and 3 in November's national draft. -
The 10.15am Thank God It's Over Thread

The AGE reporting that Port nomited both Daniher AND VIney with its pick 7 in order to force Ess and Melb to use their picks 10 and 26 to secure their F/S players. I thought multiple bidding was outlawed to stop exactly this kind of thing? ANYONE CONFIRM WHAT THE SITUATION IS?? (oops sorry bout the caps) -
He's a maggot.

Copy and past e the header into google. You can usually get the article for free there.. -
Some of them weren't so odd. If he could kick he would be a Brad Sewell type and a gun. Sadly he plays at Melbourne and couldn't hit a target if his life depended on it.
-
MItch Clark would be the best kick on our list.

I think GWS can only nominate one F/S per round. Happy to be corrected but thunking I read that somewhere. -
Why would you bother tagging him now? Threw the toys out of the pram a couple of years ago. Other clubs have a serious laugh at our club. First MacDonald, then Bruce,, then Green, then Davey then Moloney. Why would you want to win a B&F at Melbourne??? Let's hope nathan Jones is not on the 'delist' threads at the end of this year...
-
Yep. With ya bruvver. Cue - 'oh but he has been injured', 'Just wait til Col gets a full pre-season' 'he's the most talented player on our list'
-
Please do not be true. OMG how can we keep doing the same thing over again....
-
Gee 73 gifted games isn't enough to base an opinion on? What is fair 300? FFS. He would be well out of here if he wasn't in contract. As for the injury stuff. Just stop being silly. Hurt his pinky last year in the pre-season and your saying this has upset his career? I'd say his inability to win his own contested ball or play defensive football would have a bigger bearing. Watch him more closely and you'll be surprised how little work he does when we don't have the ball

My mum always said of you can't say anything nice about someone don't say anything at all. I didn't listen to my Mum to often. I am over Cale. DOesn't try hard enough. Has no appetite for a contest. His defensive skills are atrocious. His kicking skills are deplorable. Apparently has endurance but what's the point if you don't use it to damage the opposition? My guess is he is only being persevered with because he is on contract for 2013. What genius did that?

He will fill the gaping hole in our forward line left by Maric.

What's funny is he announced it back in May - at least his manager did. What a dud manager

Correct. The Saints responded within 4 hours saying they wouldn't match it. -

Those figs are probably not far off the mark. Ball's was public as he nominated for the draft but only signed for two years. He will be on a lower amount from 2013 onwards you would imagine. -

You may be right but I was thinking if they did coach him he would have said something different. And not sound so enthusiastic about punishing us! -

Nah I'm not kidding, We have had this guy training with us for 2 years, got him games at Casey. Would fully expect that he has been coached in what to say and yet he comes out with this. Its disturbing. I guess the chronology would be we nominate him as a F/S and if GC offers pick 2 for him we then have to decide whether to offer our first pick, pick 3. We could decline to do that and GC wins him. Daniher is clearly rated above Jack so why wouldn't GC pick him instead of Jack? Methinks there are a lot of mind games going on but still disturbed by Jacks quoted comments.
