  1. Guy Rigoni a flop? How can you live with yourself?
  2. Happy with either. Hard choice, but I will trust the club to select the one that fits us best. I would go for Wines; hard at it and never gives up. He and Viney in our midfield will terrify our opposition for years to come.
  3. Mere semantics; it is a troubled allignment and it is with Melbourne.
  4. He just has to not play our last NAB Cup/Challenge match.
  5. This was one of my great bugbears during the season. Blokes coming out of the backline looking for a target, and not finding anyone presenting.
  6. The best policy in this instance is to deny the issue oxygen. If it were not for Caroline Wilson, this 'investigation' would have already gone the way the AFL wanted it to, nowhere. To say anything, no matter what the context, is counter-productive.
  7. It's actually Scully for Hogan, Barry and Dawes plus Viney at 27. Whomsoever doesn't consider that at win is not capable of coherent thought.
  8. I applaud the effort. Just a question, I thought that you had to name your rookie upgrades beforehand and the AFL assigned them to your live picks from the rear. Thus, you can pass as much as you like and then still come in later with rookie upgrades.
  9. He lost the first pre-season and the first half-year with a thyroid condition. Unlike many of the previous draft picks, he has bulked up considerably, and is now one big unit. If you had watched the Casey games, you would be completely mystified as to how he could not crack it for a game at Melbourne.
  10. You forgot 27. My count is that there are, currently, three spots, the bare minimum. I would expect a few delistings and us to use 5-6 draft picks. Of these one will definately be Viney and the other Nicholson. BTW Hogan will not be on our list next year.
  11. B: Nicholson, Frawley, Garland HB: Tapscott, Watts, McDonald C: Trengove, Grimes, Blease HF: Howe, Dawes, Sylvia F: Jetta, Clark, Byrnes R: Jamar, McKenzie, Jones I: Gawn, Magner, Davey, Bail We need a closest to the pin competition here; I have probably got about five wrong!
  12. I want to be able to stop burying my head in my hands as often as I did this year. To this end, I do not want to see Sellar in the forward line or ruck again; I can, just barely, tolerate him in the backline. Gawn is, IMO, the best ruck option going forward. I would have a Jamar & Gawn ruck combination with Fitzpatrick/Martin playing in the forward line providing backup. Overall, I think that we have the ruck situation pretty much covered.
  13. This is precisely why the first thing that happens is the Father/Son bidding. Once that is complete, clubs cannot trade away the pick that is earmarked for the Father/Son.
  14. I doubt that. Whitfileld is the clear #1, GWS will not risk losing him. GC are another matter but I don't think they will nominate Viney. Should either of them nominate Viney, we should look them straight in trhe eye and pass.
  15. The modern game, and MFC, needs classy midfielders badly. If the two were key position players, then maybe it would be a mistake drafting both. As they are midfielders, get them both, and a couple more.
