  1. dunno what yr talking about; jab clearly went to commentary school during the week dropped a "the hawks have come to play" when they'd kicked four
  2. who needs key forwards on the wide open expanses of the mcg?
  3. we're consistently inconsistent
  4. hore got dropped multiple times in a team with multiple injuries last season tell stevo to get his hands off it
  5. tiggas gw$ north filth bears puddy tatts gc17 peptides pear saturday arvo should be good filth vs aints into bears vs meth coke is a tasty treat of footy
  6. yep one good bit of play - trac chase and tackle - for a lot of very poor in that 'highlight' clip
  7. this he turned 24 earlier this year; it's hardly like he's washed up shouldn't even be at his peak, and should develop nicely alongside the other 18-25 year olds on our list: 13 of them played in our side's most recent win, and i'd hope that at least ten should be in our best / current 22 when the eldest turns 30 if i was doing a team with them all, right now... B: Lockhart - O Mac - Smith HB: Salem - Lever - Rivers ? Langdon - Petracca - Harmes HF: Hunt - Weideman - ANB F: Jackson - Fritsch - Pickett Foll: Preuss - Oliver - Brayshaw I/c: Hore - Petty - Sparrow - Bedford that's not a completely terrible 25 and under side by any stretch of the imagination
  8. he wasn't alone
  9. they're obsessed with gawn's ruck dominance, but i reckon this one could be a key part of actual bomberland thinking; gawn's aerobic capacity is the biggest thing they need to contend, as his ability to push back when the oppo ruck is stranded in the middle of the ground is a huge part of his arsenal please let oliver go head-to-head with parish it'll be interesting to see who heppell goes to as along with smith he's definitely the most defensively-minded of their mid rotations; viney v shiel could be a fun watch too their forwards are my biggest concern - walla, fantasia, townsend, stringer with mckernahan as the get out is a zippy and mobile forward line plus smith and parish rotating thru there...i just don't know about our match-ups for them... they only started really bombing it into their f50 in the last quarter i thought; we started doing it - when we could get our hands on the ball - midway thru the second it could be a good game or an absolute horror show
  10. roo is a loose cannon it's highly enjoyable watching that franchise implode
  11. crows wouldn't look at a mid like brayshaw the reason they'll let brad crouch go in the first place is cos they already have enough plodding one-way one-role mids; they want to get rid of one, not replace one with another
  12. yep everyone rants and raves about so many players, meanwhile oliver has been a gun from day dot
  13. if we sang the song as a team after losing it'd definitely be blown up as a bigger deal
  14. i just can't see how we can afford to pay goodwin out - even if we wanted to - prior to midway thru 2021 at the earliest
  15. i dunno about playing outstanding football i remember big bags being booted on him on a regular basis
  16. yze was super close to coming to the dees at the end of last season hawks gave him a better deal with greater responsibility and also now have it that, in order for him to leave, he either has to go on to be a senior coach or director of football or some such malarkey things might be different given the effects the 'rona has had on football departments and the soft cap, but he ain't coming to the dees in the soon to near future
  17. our defence - other than them spoiling each other in the air - wasn't the issue for mine our mids stopped contested and only run one way, and our forward didn't work defensively it's the same story forever and ever, ad infinitum
  18. viney is a free agent at the end of this season given that his teammates don't want him as their leader, he may yet choose to walk to a better offer
  19. do you honestly believe that? our supporter base is small, and ageing, and devoid of sustained success i think we're forever destined to be mid-lower tier size
  20. if lists are reduced to 35 i am not certain that hore would survive the chop would be borderline
  21. unfortunately it's not something that makes me happy i completely understand why we signed him up but north were prepared to offer him big coin so we could've got a decent trade for him at the time all his 'value' has diminished as @DeeSpencer said i really thought after his first year that he was going to be a ripper for us off half-back more than thru the midfield, but his disposal has somehow got worse since then and his lack of accountability defensively is atrocious
  22. mckernan from only 16 games tho that hunt was our top ranked marking player i50 followed by fritsch - who barely played there til the last five or so games of the year - says volumes
  23. i guess - i just see trac as more a ground level player and stringer more damaging in the air
