  1. langdon appeals from an outside speed factor, but the only way you'd want brayshaw being in the trade was if it was for freo's first plus langdon for brayshaw and our, i dunno, third or something langdon is a gut running ball sprayer who doesn't seem to be a big tackler - two out of three traits that'll fit right in with the rest of our side! surely we'd get him for second round pick, perhaps even swapping ours and freo's thirds if required
  2. peptides' workrate is enormous they don't give up and they keep fighting at the moment - they're on a run not too dissimilar to that which we had last year as a football side they play a brand of footy that is entertaining to watch
  3. Now it’s the Crows turn to stop! Topsy-Turvey game
  4. Peptides have stopped
  5. Goodes isn’t involved in the final quarter; it was made without his involvement How anyone can say the abuse he suffered wasn’t significantly racially motivated beggars belief
  6. The Norm Smith curse goes west!
  7. yep, was thinking ryan when reading duggan so what about the next options after rowell, anderson, and kemp?
  8. interesting that you compare ash to a defensive pressure forward, cos from my understand he's mostly played running defender - gotta say his contested ball winning numbers - or lack of em - worry me a great deal; positively toumpas-like in terms of percentage people forget that robbie gray was a speculative pick at #55 when port grabbed him - he's my fave non-demon so if serong turned out to be as good as robbie i'd happily have him i would love anderson but i think he and rowell are headed to gc17, and we'll have a choice of one of the others rowell sounds like he'll be an immediate inside midfield rotation player no matter where he goes next year, while anderson and kemp will be initially outside runners, potential there to become damaging inside / outside players who would you like the most of these players @Lord Travis? which do you see as being able to benefit us immediately vs long-term, and what roles would they have in our side?
  9. I hope we start winning games and those around us do too Watch the afl award GC17 the first five picks in the draft...
  10. 3-4 weeks away from MFC playing is consistent with what he is saying - two weeks away from resuming at vfl for a half and then 1-2 weeks away from afl
  11. how far off is the davey clan?
  12. i for one am really excited to hopefully see this weekend how petty and weed work together, against the best defence in the game footscray don't have much in terms of tall defenders particularly, but petty played well against them i like the idea of both weed and petty forward - they bring the ball to ground level and fight hard when it's there, playing in our forward line is a pretty tough ask; both look cooked later in the game (weed all year and petty shifting back with may moving forward late against the scrays) definitely keen to persist with petty forward given the absence of t mac and the defensive linchpins of may, frost, and lever
  13. what they did is won the ball, spread brilliant, and kicked accurately in short, they played great footy - other than robinson mouthing off coming off the bench (when they were already six goals up), they weren't that demonstrative back against port really neale also came on and off the ground a lot to try to shake the tag port are harder to get a read on than us; they're up and down whereas we're just consistently ordinary fwiw, i didn't think port did anything that untoward to either gawn or neale - just made em earn it
  14. He’s a liability defensively and offensively Doesn’t run hard either way and can’t hit a target by foot
  15. ANB and Hannan should both go for Baker and JKH, while Weed in / out will depend on fitness I guess
  16. We will finish 17th and GC17 will get a priority pick Nothing surer!
  17. 6: Gawn 5: Salem 4: Viney 3: May 2: Petracca 1: Petty
  18. Coniglio should still get some nice fat contract offers, knee knack or not
  19. This maggoting is quite something...
  20. mykelti lefau looks like someone who should be on an afl list lots of our afl-listed players look like players who should be on a vfl list
  21. I’m keen on Day as a free agent But in terms of the next Mihocek? You’ve gotta be lucky - started as a defender st vfl level and has been terrific as a forward at afl level...Pies re-tooled him as a necessity to fill a role and he’s been terrific ever since There has to be another player out there who we can get lucky with; we’ve already seen Hore become best 22 for us (subject to availability) and there MUST be more 22-25 year olds out there more than capable of achieving at afl level
  22. I’d rather find the next Mihocek than go anywhere near Jenkins or Casboult
  23. gibbs doesn't run defensively...at all makes gus brayshaw look defensively proactive he doesn't get to repeat contests and he looks completely washed is on big, big money if reports are true (got $1.4-1.6m owed to him over the next two seasons) and no one will want to take that sort of contract on
