After a great win at taxpayer stadium this Saturday we’ll rocket past 50k
  2. Taxpayer stadium
  3. spargo knows how to use the footy when he finds it, and actually has some pace - he just doesn't lay a tackle as he's a 19 year old, still developing strength i personally don't think you can play frost and hunt in the same side; yes, they both have line-breaking speed, but neither can hit a target by foot couldn't disagree with you more re lewis - the loss of him on the eve of round 1 was a massive blow as he controls our backline and is a must to have someone with a semblance of understanding of where to position themselves defensively, cos hibberd as our other backline leader can't / doesn't do it, and jetta leads by example rather than instruction, and to compare him to watts is laughable brayshaw's skills are terrible, but he's brilliant at finding the footy - he's nowhere near mitchell's class at this stage it's one game in, there's nothing to panic about, but there are obvious concerns at this stage we got SMASHED for contested ball against meth coke, in the jlt match-ups, and against the pear if you don't win the ball, you always look slow
  4. FWIW Mumford played in a NEAFL practice game today, despite being ‘internally suspended’ by GW$
  5. massacre still reckon they will be okay in the long run
  6. peptides have continued on with their preseason form, and look terrible
  7. that's horrific i seem to remember luke molan doing something similar in the vfl for sandy when he was on our list
  8. That’s because the work didn’t start til midnight Friday / Saturday
  9. 1,134 short of what we wanted to hit, and about the same above my initial prediction before i revised down when what was a normal 11 min train journey from windsor to richmond turned into an hour and a half epic trip on the bus i want to know what happened to the original plan of melbourne vs pies being the opening friday night game of the year - that would've been more than 78k i would've thought good of the taxpayer funded club to be gifted a friday night; i thought most geelong fans would prefer a day game in melbourne at the g cos travelling home on the v line would be terrible (other than the sweet joy of being post-win) given the games end ridiculously late because of the stupid 7:50pm start time it'll be interesting to see what we get vs the peptides for our next home match, on a friday night; would want to push up to that 80k mark you'd hope if they get off to a shocker and we're both 0-2 (we have puddy tatts, they have gw$ tomoz and then the aints on saturday twilight) it could be...interesting
  10. hore looked very toey early - got better as the game wore on, i thought, which is funny, as that's when the backline was most over-run god our midfield was pathetic putting pressure on the pear as they sauntered thru the middle of the ground
  11. Upping it to one more out in the hope that KK and Preuss both come up trumps tomorrow in the magoos IN: May, KK, Preuss OUT: Frost, ANB, C Wagner B: Jetta - May - Hore HB: Hunt - O Mac - Hibberd ? Salem - Brayshaw - Jones HF: Petracca - T Mac - Viney F: Preuss - Weideman - Melksham Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Spargo - KK - Fritsch - Sparrow Emerg: Stretch - Petty - ANB - Keilty Unfortunately, Hunt has to be retained as he’s one of very few players we have with pace Same for Spargo - he’s a midget but at least he competes for the footy, unlike ANB, who has looked terrible all year Sparrow was good and holds his place Viney and Jones looked way underdone, as did Jones - if a player can’t run out three quarters, let alone four, DON’T PLAY EM!
  12. Bears dominating meth coke They are QUICK One thing that looks to be emerging this year is that the teams that are zippier are able to transition far more effectively
  13. Tough to find three decent players tbh, let alone six 6: Salem 5: Harmes 4: Brayshaw 3: Melksham 2: Oliver 1: Hibberd But really only the first two deserved votes
  14. Death, taxes...and Hawthorn in top four
  15. May, Preuss for Frost, Wagner Lewis will be standard 21 Day hamstring recovery
  16. No run, disorganised defensively, and really missing a 50 goal a year forward Still, it’s a marathon not a sprint
  17. Frost is the new Fitzpatrick (tunnel ball) and Dunn (torp) and should never play for us again
  18. Different lines; basically everything east of the city has been changed to buses
  19. Yep, all lines stopped at midnight last night
  20. Given how disastrous this transportation situation is I’m revising down to 26,187
  21. but waiting for the really busy time when trains are in demand (i.e. football season) to begin all this work seems absurd i understand that they have to spend their cash in the lead up to budget changes to ensure they get the same capex and opex in the next fin year, but their timing is, as always, impeccable it's like how the scg trust waits for cricket season to finish before ripping down stadia that would otherwise have been in core demand...cos the five days of test cricket and 3 one-dayers must not be messed with!
  22. basically every train to the city from the east of the city has been replaced by buses awesome work ptv
  23. velvet sledgehammer has always been dumb as a velvet-lined box of hammers that brisbane midfield six you highlighted - voss, black, lappin, akermanis, power, hart - is better than anything i've ever seen, particularly when clark keating creaked out of his april-august coma just in time for september next best group of six would probably be port's around the same time - primus feeding francou, roger james, kornes, josh carr, byron pickett coming from outta nowhere to knock blokes out with hip-and-shoulders, and nick stevens before he went to carlton cos they refused to trade him to the filth...and this doesn't even count the two burgoynes they had running around at the same time really hoping our current crop - max giving silver service to oliver, brayshaw, harmes, viney, jones, petracca and salem - can be our golden age of mids
