CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong
have a look at how many direct involvements he had in the chains for goals in the intraclub he'll play i reckon if they're going to bring in a 'tall' it might be avb who is squeezed out

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
it seems like 35 is going to be too deep for some clubs franchises (e.g. gold coast) to get down to, so 40 might be an okay number including both full list and rookie list (not that there seems to be much differentiation these days between the two) given that the minimum amount of draft picks used is likely to drop to two, i'd say that'd be seven off our list before any trading even takes place likely candidates: nathan jones (retirement?) charlie spargo toby bedford michael hibberd (retirement?) kade kolodjashnij aaron neitschke oskar baker marty hore kade chandler corey wagner josh wagner austin bradtke that's twelve - personally of the seven who'd go i'd nominate: kade kolodjashnij aaron neitschke oskar baker kade chandler corey wagner josh wagner as six likely certainties, then it comes down to what the decision is retaining experience (jones and hibberd) vs height (bradtke) and smalls (spargo, bedford, chandler)

Adelaide’s Tom Lynch
yeah, but his unwillingness to work hard is a major barrier be interesting to see what the crows do at the end of the season - if i was them and a big offer came in for brad crouch, i'd let him walk; likelihood is they'd get a straight after their round 1 compo pick to replace him, which means they could hold two of the top five picks in the draft

Adelaide’s Tom Lynch
worked in the footy industry for over a decade

Adelaide’s Tom Lynch
fogarty is super lazy in terms of his intensity and training efforts needs to work a helluva lot harder on and off the track probably the worst thing that happened to him was getting drafted by the crows; needed to get outta homebase

Adelaide’s Tom Lynch
he doesn't get near the ball enough for mine crows list is pretty slim pickings to be honest ten players will be 28 before the season is out, so you wouldn't touch them straight away, the next group of age group 23-27 includes the likes of brad crouch as an rfa who - seemingly foolishly - thought last year he was a $1m a year player and his brother, neither of whom would help us out overly i'm a big fan of rory laird, but rory atkins? jake kelly? riley knight? meh some of their 23 and unders are pretty okay; they signed wayne milera up to a decent deal last year, i think it was, while elliott himmelberg is out of contract at the end of this season and would definitely be worth having a sniff at, at 22 years of age and 198cm / 96kg key forward prospect but you'd imagine they'd see frampton (comes alive!) and himmelberg as their future key forwards along with fogarty as the third tall - he's going to need to get a lot fitter to play that role tho fish mcasey looks a talent but is super raw

What happens to the draft in 2020
i heard something recently where they said this draft isn't particularly good and is completely diluted due to all the academy and nga selections they also said that next year and the year after are REALLY low in quality - the u/16s national championships last year was apparently bereft of quality it's funny; it used to be that every year the experts would talk the drafts up about the quality coming through...but that hasn't happened for the last couple of years i'm fine with trading out of this year's draft to secure pickett fwiw

Intra-Club Game: Round 3
reckon most players from the past would find ways to adapt to the modern game they were the best in the country playing in 12 team competitions; as if they wouldn't be in the best in the 18-team one we have now
-
Intra-Club Game: Round 3
i reckon garry lyon would be a big-bodied mid a la fyfe / cripps / dangerfield in the modern game neitz would be a classic stay at home defender, and schwarz would be (pre-ox) just as exciting as he was in his pomp jakovich would have to be a helluva fitter in modern times, but his nearest equivalent would probably be stevie johnson? and even he has been retired for nearly five years

Oliver: The Forgotten Superstar?
when all these hot new things have had as good a start to their careers as oliver then we might be able to compare / contrast can't wait to see our bloodnut go head to head with gc17's one

Where are we at?
i would hope that we're somewhere between 6-14th with the potential to push up into the top 6 with a bit of luck, and to drop into the bottom tier without any essentially we're somewhere between a 1st to 18th ranked side

Yze for Coach?
caracella has stated previously that he doesn't want the senior role - happy to be the primary assistant he'll be at the peptides for some time setting up their mids beautifully, the rotten so-and-so, much as he has the tigers, and the cats, and the filth before that
-
Yze for Coach?
this i was super keen on dew - had played in premierships under choco and then clarko, and had served a fine apprenticeship under roos' successor, longmire, including being in the box for the 2012 premiership but everyone knew melbourne's list was stuffed and why would you go there when yr role as an assistant saw you play finals on a regular basis? assistants at successful clubs often get the push to take on a main gig - it's why rutten and caracella were chased so hard by the peptides, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see adam kingsley the next cab off the hardwick's assistant line

OUR BEST 22 & OUR NEXT 22
it seems to me that tomlinson is set to be our #2 ruck, especially with these shorter quarters and gawn's excellent fitness i am very, very interested to see how the forward line works going forward with that one tall and a host of mid-sizers and small pickett and bennell is potentially VERY exciting B: Jetta - May - Smith HB: Salem - Lever - Harmes C : Langdon - Petracca - Hannan HF: Melksham - T Mac - Bennell F: Hunt - Fritsch - Pickett Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: Brayshaw - Tomlinson - AVB - Rivers B: Lockhart - O Mac - Hore HB: Chandler - Petty - Hibberd C : Dunkley - Jones - C Wagner HF: ANB - Weideman - Spargo F: Jackson - Brown - Bedford Foll: Preuss - Sparrow - Jordon I/c: Baker - J Wagner - Bradtke not considered - kk, nietschke

Intra-Club Game: Round 3
one thing that stuck out to me was that gus brayshaw wasn't wearing a helmet - so how seriously were the players and club taking it? it was dancing with our sister... of course, he also had two direct goal assists from hitting targets i50, so miracles will never cease!
