Credited with winning premierships everywhere he went EXCEPT Melbourne

Jared Polec
Yeah that’s the thing, I think it’ll be a sliding scale based upon the total amount that the Kangas contribute to his salary

agreed not sure whether hore is in an unfortunate position to be injured and out of contract and unable to play or fortunate to be injured and out of contract and unable to play it makes it hard to judge him comparative to the players he's in competition with for a role in the side, but given expected list cuts his status might be an easy decision to make

MFCs greatest need.
the animosity towards pert amongst the mfc rank and file is extraordinary

wait...so yr saying the backline is working....but you want to take the #1 small defender out of it? not sure i get the logic to doing so
-
Jared Polec
i wouldn't be - everyone wanted out of brisbane at that time (he was part of the wantaway five) and he got an offer he simply couldn't refuse and port couldn't come close to matching i'm very confident if he's elsewhere in 2021 he'll be an important contributor for whichever side he presents don't forget he was brought in as a 'finisher' for north; i don't think they realised what a parlous state their list was in
-
Jared Polec
he's a very good wingman, quick, hits the scoreboard, and exactly what we need north want at least half of his contract off the books but will pay the other half he'd fill the exact need that we have imo

Assistant Coaches 2021
in terms of 'saving' money in the soft cap it would make sense

Assistant Coaches 2021
solomon is a fait accompli to be back at the peptides next year you'd think be interesting to see how deep the cuts go into footy ops you'd think that if mahoney goes, that'll free up a lot of ' soft cap' room in the footy dept given that our expectation is that the total numbers in the footy departments are going to be reduced in 2021 and beyond, sadly lots more good football people will lose their jobs than there will be roles to go around
-
The 2020 Trade Period
i'd rather just pick up zac williams as a free agent

Steven May All Australian?
He’s got better as the season has gone on but is clearly behind the likes of Andrews, Weitering, Moore, Ryan, Collins, Haynes, Jonas, possibly Grimes and McGovern for KPP and / or third tall roles

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
after half time was an utter disaster in terms of workrate, and it wasn't our own play that stopped them, it was shortened quarters and the siren footscray are pretty good and they really put us to the sword in the premiership quarter the way we didn't respond at all was really disappointing from a coaching perspective - if me sitting grumpily in front of the live stream can see the lack of effort put in to work hard defensively then i don't see how the coaching dept can't respond, and they really didn't change anything at all in the third before we knew it the game was gone once melksham did his usual dumb give-away-a-goal thing - he's one of the biggest culprits for poor discipline and lack of workrate we looked capable of getting back into it in the last but we completely fell away mentally after giving up ANOTHER goal on turnover; the amount of turnovers and reaction to perceived pressure just continues to show that the group don't react well to be under the kosh at all

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
go get mosquito still reckon the changes will be fairly minimal - gawn and rivers to come in for preuss and sparrow i would personally be adding t mac, hannan and / or spargo to the list of outs but get the feeling they'll stick with the devil we know
-
Joel Smith
if it's 40 + 2 then i can see smith surviving on the list next year, and i suspect the fact that josh wagner has been pushed out of playing a defensive role - his natural position - in these scratch matches in favour of smith indicates that the footy dept see him as a defender and worth persisting with in that role i don't see him being in the best 22 of an afl side that is going to be featuring in finals football if we are reliant upon the likes of smith, baker, hunt, anb, the wagners being in our afl-level side then we're in a bit of trouble a lot of them are fine athletes and probably very good at lower levels, but there's nothing about their games that makes me think they're worth persevering with if list reductions are completely ott in 2021

Scratch Match vs St. Kilda
