  1. not the wrong door! outstanding work from ed wtf.......
  2. we've added mcdonald's as a sponsor?
  3. first time i've listened to the podcast live
  4. what eddie has to say will be interesting
  5. hawks' 45 degree kicking to position was superb when they elect to move the ball away from the line towards goal you can see how super well-drilled they are by clarkson i thought - other than the keepings off - that the cats did well against us was holding possession until they'd got to the point that they wanted to a) switch or b) run the ball through our (occasionally parlous) zone having watched the replay of the cats-dees again, i'm once more reminded of tigers-pies and the way two teams defensive zones actually worked really well to negate the other's offensive forays dees-tigers could be a similarly interesting game to watch from a tactical perspective, albeit a frustrating one from a fan's perspective, if it follows suit accordingly
  6. because we're three games into a season
  7. can confirm it is a tasty drop
  8. he was very good on sen i think guaranteed @Demonland interview will hit harder than some of the lollipop q's gerard lobbed his way! can't wait to listen to it tomorrow as i trawl seek and linkedin
  9. where on earth did the other games go? pretty sure we've played 3 in a 17 game season...
  10. i think we can forget point 4 entirely, which obviously has severe ramifications on point 2, but the first and the last are the main queries i want posed to bartlett if @Demonland can address all of those items and what the ramifications of failure on each of them or, in the case of the last, an actual timeline on the latter then i'd be happy 1) what happens with coaching and football dept. if point 1 is not achieved in 2020? 2) when will the casey field facility be completed? 3) what is the actual timeline of the announcement of a plan - not even detail of it, just the timing! - to be announced for a 'home base facility? 4) given the effects of covid, is casey field facility a fallback option if the 'home base facility' shows itself to be an impossibility? 5) how are positioned to survive from a financial perspective given the shortfalls expected in points 2 and 4 as a result of covid-19? 6) point 3 is a classic ambition of every workplace, but how can we expected to attract new on-field talent given our consistently poor performance - 1 finals series in 14 years - for the majority of the lives of players 28 and under?
  11. leading metres gained for us last game??!? the notion of shifting him around from the role we brought him in as a free agent to play is one i don't understand at all it's like those suggesting we play may forward...why? by that logic o mac has to come in as a key defender; i'd rather may take that role and we find someone else who can play as a tall up forward...and i'd say no (at this stage) to smith or lever being the choices there as that trio need time to work out how to play together; it's been two games i can completely understand the calls for weideman or brown (or jackson) to come in to play as an additional tall forward, but i don't think it's time to throw the baby out with the bathwater when we're three games into the season, and only (an interrupted) two since resumption
  12. i want that 'i hate melbourne' one
  13. rochambeau!
  14. this would have to be the smallest injury list we've had in eons
  15. i don't think we will either i wish we would, but goodwin and the footy dept seem to be entirely enamoured of the richmond pre-lynch and current pies set-up of one tall, a bunch of mediums, and a couple of smalls
  16. the afl have to do everything they can to keep the season going as otherwise at least six clubs, 1000s of jobs, and 100s of 1000s of supporters are at risk of being lost
  17. weideman is signed up til the end of 2021 with us fwiw, i would happily have jesse back - never wanted to lose him in the first place
  18. he's got to go at the end of this year you'd think
  19. if i'd been born a hawthorn supporter (yuck!!) i would've seen NINE premierships and another FIVE runner-ups their success in my 41 years on this planet has been extreme
  20. i'm going to put it out there... he should have gone when he wasn't made ceo he's overseen a failed regeneration of the football department, with too many stories about conflicts in the coaching box, conflicts in the playing list, and misbehaviour off the field he's been part of failed department and needs to go
  21. tomlinson and langdon have been brought in to play the wings and carry the ball, and already for what felt like half the first quarter we were playing tomlinson in the ruck - let's leave him where he was brought in to play rather than trying to turn tomlinson into a chb or chf fwiw, tomlinson lead the metres gained for the entire match by some margin - he had 503 (more than dangerfield, cats' best, by 30) with viney (433), salem (288), langdon (281), may (280), and petracca (259) our only players over 250 compared to 6 over 300 for the cats previous week langdon was the only player to get over 450, with salem miles back on 355 our next best
  22. i'm in the same boat re goodwin; really not liking what we've seen so far in the regular season at all it's harder to judge the board, but they shifted their own goalposts with the introduction of the new ceo, who is in his second year but we really need to see some action beyond' please give us money so we can survive' what actual effect will going to the afl to survive the covid crisis have beyond not being in debt to them? what are the timeframes on any proposed development would be a start - even around when an announcement beyond 'some time before 2022' would force them to have some degree of accountability they've put the onus on the afl and aflw coaches demanding finals every year; if the new ceo's sole kpi is a home base, they need to do more than just announce an 'intention' to have one near the g
  23. we don't need another 29 year old key defender
  24. given that a clear mandate in the 2022 blueprint was finals every year and a home base close to the mcg, how long is the legrope on these failing to happen? if goodwin doesn't guide us to finals in 2020, is there a getout clause of his extended contract? what are the timelines around a decision being announced for a homebase and where does that position pert as ceo going forward?
  25. small forwards are the new key forwards
