  1. tigers fans say the same thing about jason castagna he's a three-time premiership player cos of the pressure that he puts on and workrate that he has while he is playing like he is he most definitely won't be dropped
  2. hmm, not sure i agree with that from midway thru the first quarter onwards, the general 'vibe' around me in the southern stand was that we were significantly on top but we just weren't converting on the scoreboard; the same case for the majority of the year thus far tbh and i'm talking bout hawks and dees fans - the former were happy to be hanging around on the scoreboard and being 'in the game' as it stood, much as they have for much of the year, whereas we were clearly trying to find a way to get on top on the scoreboard as well as around the ground i long for the arrogance of being a tigers supporter
  3. could do worse than model his game on shai bolton - lightly framed, quick, but strong, and hard at the contest
  4. keep us updated all season please @Drunkn167, he's like part of the demonland family thanks to your contributions
  5. who doesn't love this absolute warrior of a footballer? epitomises the resilience and attitude that it takes to back up again and again so that he can deliver the best he can for the club can't wait to see him get a win in his 300th in front of a massive crowd in a massive game
  6. slobbo spent four years browbeating buckley to the point that the latter walked away from a nice chunk of change to get off the show this is the first time that slobbo has been able to 'go' at him in years; safe to say he relished it
  7. I’d say from my spot on afl members it was 60/40 Melbourne’s way Plus as everyone knows we are one of the LOUDEST supporter bases in the competition
  8. 6: Gawn 5: Langdon 4: Lever 3: McDonald 2: Oliver 1: Salem
  9. who is this toby bedford and what did he do with the previous toby bedford?
  10. deakyn smith looks a player
  11. bedford is super aggressive
  12. weed has 4 goals 2 from 10 kicks - he's having a day out
  13. 10.10.70 to 4.3.27 at half time nev absolutely dominant through the midfield, joel smith killing it with rebound from d50, and bedford, weed, and brown doing it all up forward
  14. george grey literally throwing the ball up in the air on his set shot approach is VERY weird but he looks a good size as a 20 year old prospect channel 7's camerawork is atrocious
  15. our vfl game will be on kayo 'freebies' which is the foxtel way of getting you familiar with the platform so they can drive toward subs
  16. He and Maclure are sour and mean-spirited commentators
  17. He ran! And bounced it! And it NEARLY came back to him!! The frothing over him is extraordinary - good tap ruckman and wins some exciting clearances once or twice a game...but that’s all He was robbed of his best years with knee knacks - I expect if he hadn’t been so he would’ve developed into a lot more of a threat around the ground
  18. i don't think the coaches / players etc. will have their eye off the current contest but i do definitely think that the build-up for the game against geelong was clearly fairly significant and a bit of a 'pressure valve' moment; how the players respond in the wake of that and also losing the bookends between that game and this upcoming one will be telling
  19. also bullied the ball forward in the contest when he had his 'turn' rotating thru the centre square he wasn't nearly as poor as some on here are making out
  20. his twin does it too they're naturally talented sportsmen who are used to starring with ease - both have a lot of work to do i think that's one of the key advantages jackson has over them; representing oztraya at underage level basketball has him knowing that there's people out there who are more talented and harder working than he is, and from what we've seen so far his 'desire to compete' is high
  21. what about tinder?
  22. yeah, only heard that after i'd speculated of course, even a non-appearance as a med sub counts as a game played, so... you'd think the med sub will be one of jordon / sparrow / melksham / jones or potentially rivers, although i am loathe to change the back 7 too much when we're already losing may
  23. 25 and unders are okay - billings, marshall, steele, howard, butler, gresham, clark, coffield, bytel, king all should be good long-term afl players but they're all a bit...vanilla, maybe?
