  1. healy: "it's not the effort, it's the execution" "win the ball, don't create damage" lyon: "i watch this side every single week - they can't kick" gerard healy reckons we desperately need weed to step up; brown says he needs someone to work with him to develop...justin plapp is meant to have that job hahahahahaha two main gfx: and
  2. er, except ox said that lever has exactly the sort of attitude he WANTS: “They recruit some blokes who are looking for a pay check, and they recruit some blokes who are escaping for some reason from the other clubs,’’ he said. “I’d like some players to put their hand up like Jake Lever did and say, ‘I want to come because I believe something special is happening’, not because financially they’re going to be better off. “I want people to come to the footy club because it’s a great club to go to, not because it’s going to service their needs. “That’s what Hawthorn does, players choose to go to Hawthorn. People don’t choose to go to Melbourne, players go to Melbourne because they haven’t got another choice.’’
  3. 2017 made my angry the way we gave up on the year 2019 i was just resigned to it by the end of the season; i'm not angry anymore, just disappointed 2020 i want to see us win but i think we're miles off it so this year doesn't even come close to those two previous years
  4. that's chris heffernan-level hatred right thurrr
  5. the funny thing is, we're not even the most hard up against it when it comes to club finances and future prospects we're very fortunate that the afl / broadcasters want 18 clubs currently, and perhaps 20 clubs in 10-20 years - might've even been sooner if covid hadn't come along and changed the world on field we are missing a LOT but off field we're not too different to a host of other clubs that are just surviving
  6. are we actually gutted tho? i think we're resigned to this continued poor performance it's not like it's out of the norm
  7. won't get much for brayshaw second rounder at best there's very little value on our list unless we offer up one of oliver or petracca
  8. he is one of our few midfielders who actually works both ways at pace he can't kick and his panicky handballs are getting increasingly panicky
  9. OUT: smith, melksham, hunt IN: o mac, weid, bennell it doesn't matter tho cos gc17 will run us of our feet - they execute quick ball movement and kicks on the 45, exactly the thing that our mids seem incapable of defending we'll turn it over going forward of centre once again and watch it ping back over our head
  10. geez it was slim pickings after the first two... 6: petracca 5: hibberd 4: gawn 3: hannan 2: fritsch 1: salem
  11. why is lockhart matched up with riewoldt?!?? what is going on??
  12. has a single of our 'recycled' players today shown anything at all? perhaps langdon to a lesser degree?
  13. smith such a spud cannot play next week
  14. fritsch just got belted and NOT ONE PLAYER remonstrated with richmond - we are pathetic and have no team spirit
  15. yeah, they're well on top on general play now
  16. they're playing keepings off like the cats last week
  17. maggots love the tiggas
  18. entertaining quarter of footy they're just that little bit quicker, little bit cleaner than us - as they should be, being premiers two of the last three years if we can clean up our overuse of the pill and not do that one-too-many handball thing in close that we insist on doing we're going okay
  19. i actually think it's the mids - the amount of turnovers we have across the centre / slightly forward of centre is atrocious
  20. that was nice transition footy
