  1. crows wouldn't look at a mid like brayshaw the reason they'll let brad crouch go in the first place is cos they already have enough plodding one-way one-role mids; they want to get rid of one, not replace one with another
  2. yep everyone rants and raves about so many players, meanwhile oliver has been a gun from day dot
  3. if we sang the song as a team after losing it'd definitely be blown up as a bigger deal
  4. i just can't see how we can afford to pay goodwin out - even if we wanted to - prior to midway thru 2021 at the earliest
  5. i dunno about playing outstanding football i remember big bags being booted on him on a regular basis
  6. embarrassing
  7. yze was super close to coming to the dees at the end of last season hawks gave him a better deal with greater responsibility and also now have it that, in order for him to leave, he either has to go on to be a senior coach or director of football or some such malarkey things might be different given the effects the 'rona has had on football departments and the soft cap, but he ain't coming to the dees in the soon to near future
  8. our defence - other than them spoiling each other in the air - wasn't the issue for mine our mids stopped contested and only run one way, and our forward didn't work defensively it's the same story forever and ever, ad infinitum
  9. viney is a free agent at the end of this season given that his teammates don't want him as their leader, he may yet choose to walk to a better offer
  10. do you honestly believe that? our supporter base is small, and ageing, and devoid of sustained success i think we're forever destined to be mid-lower tier size
  11. if lists are reduced to 35 i am not certain that hore would survive the chop would be borderline
  12. unfortunately it's not something that makes me happy i completely understand why we signed him up but north were prepared to offer him big coin so we could've got a decent trade for him at the time all his 'value' has diminished as @DeeSpencer said i really thought after his first year that he was going to be a ripper for us off half-back more than thru the midfield, but his disposal has somehow got worse since then and his lack of accountability defensively is atrocious
  13. mckernan from only 16 games tho that hunt was our top ranked marking player i50 followed by fritsch - who barely played there til the last five or so games of the year - says volumes
  14. i guess - i just see trac as more a ground level player and stringer more damaging in the air
  15. hore is injured for half the season and not much chop so that's not going to happen not to mention t mac's kicking out of the backline...have people forgotten how horrible a ball-user he is coming out of the backline?!??
  16. wow, i would have sworn he was more of a key forward target! interesting numbers - do you have splits for i50 marks vs around the ground?
  17. callum mills was #3 pick ahead of oliver - he's possibly even more of a good-average afl level player than gus mills makes salem look like a superstar
  18. i feel like i see stringer take a lot more marks than trac mckernan would be our #1 key forward target if he was in our side
  19. north were prepared to offer him a hefty contract at the end of 2018 but instead we signed him up to a fairly decent one instead he's one more poor year away from being worth a lot less than a third rounder
  20. mckernahan (198cm) and stringer (192cm, but arguably 'plays' taller) are pretty decent targets
  21. nope, i said so at the time he's always been a frontrunner
  22. unfortunately he's incredibly one-dimensional, doesn't work hard defensively, and has chronic poor disposal he's no better / worse than dom tyson shoulda traded him at the end of 2018
  23. carlton review just went up, i would imagine ours would go up at some point in the next 24-72 hours...
  24. i think this can be expanded to our midfielders struggle to defend the amount of freewheeling going on inside the square and around the contest is very concerning going forward
  25. melksham and t mac on thin ice at this stage i think - on the g - you need some tall targets to kick to, so i'd give lj a reprieve this week IN: weed, o mac OUT: jones, smith sad to see nate go out like he is - looks a shadow of his former self anb and hunt did their roles; pickett will need to wait, silly boy
